Just spent a few days in the family birthing unit. World class professionals. Everyone was there when we needed something and enthusiastic. Upbeat and ready to go around the clock. People leaving bad reviews seem like complainers. Nothing goes perfectly but I'm home with my big fat healthy baby. Cheers to them for making the transition as smooth as could be expected.

I was brought to the hospital by ambulance. The ambulance came in about 3-4 minutes. There were in total 6 people. They were very polite and professional. The hospital staff was excellent. Zero wait time. Could not be better. Bravo to all the ambulance and Surrey Memorial hospital staff.

My mum required emergency care recently; she arrived with amazing ambulance staff and was admitted swiftly into emergency, there were so many people being treated but the staff remained vigilant and friendly with us and everyone I was near enough to over hear. Staff in other units we went through were equally helpful and kind, especially the amazing night nurses in HAU. Thank you!!

I recently required a trip to the emergency department of Surrey Memorial Hospital and on a weekend at that. I thought "Oh, boy, this is going to be a challenging experience." But, I could not have been more wrong. The staff were friendly with smiles to greet me and always courteous. They seemed very efficient in their performance of their jobs. I was in the emergency unit for nearly five hours, but given the amount of care and labs etc. that I required I thought it was a quick and productive trip. Time well spent. The building is a new build and beautiful. The coffee shop and the cafeteria were well stocked and clean with friendly staff. In fact the entire facility where I was at was remarkably clean and tidy. If I ever have to use an emergency room again it will be Surrey Memorial as my first choice. My emergency room doctor was first class as was the gal who drew blood from me. It is always good for blood work if you don't feel a thing when she sticks you with the needle. Yep, she was one of the best. Nursing staff top notch for sure.

Some of the nurses especialy in the birthing unit need to get their act together. I do not know how they got hired or get paid for doing nothing. they can make your time very miserable and have no concern for patients. Instead of helping patient they laugh and make fun of them among themselves. We waited total 12 hrs, waited 3 hrs in birthing unit and they send us to emergency where we waited almost 7hrs and then back to birthing for another 2 hrs. So unorganized staff. Please avoid it or make complaints to head department if you get bad experience.
