Excellent vibes. The whole atmosphere here is relaxed and welcoming. Our server, Keaton, was phenomenal. He was friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The tacos were excellent; tried almost all of them. Also really enjoyed the fries, though I’ve never met a bowl of fries I didn’t love. Classic margaritas are solid, and also great with a bit of spice. Overall, I recommend you skip the food court and come here!
Wow! I love the addition of this restaurant to Chinook Mall! I want to start it off by letting you know that it is not a traditional Mexican restaurant. However, it does take a California twist on Tex-Mex. I really enjoyed their nachos and their chicken taco. The nachos were just awesome. Lots of guacamole and cheese and not a single chip was dry. Each chip had something on it. However, if you don't like cilantro, you probably won't like it. However, I like it because it provided a nice, fresh contrast to the creaminess. Also, the vibe of the restaurant is great. It's styled very well, looks modern. Everything looks new and everything just melts together nicely. Also, as for service, our server karma was a treat. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and super duper nice to us. Would definitely go here again and again and again.
Had a fun meal here with friends. Easily accessible through the mall and good quality standards from this restaurant group. Servers were very friendly and accommodating. There was a little bit of a wait for food as it was busier than expected on a Monday night. The meadjito was fantastic!
I really enjoyed the meal we had at Surfy Surfy for our group of 8 for a birthday celebration on Mar 24, 2022. I ordered a trio of tacos, which included a fish taco my favorite, a pork AL-pastor - delicious and a close second and the beef also great. There was also a great selection of delicious margaritas, I tried a Spicy Cucumber and Toasted Coconut and both were delicious. Looking forward to coming back to try the burritos and a few more margs! The staff was great and made our visit great.
Quite enjoyed this place. Decor matched the name and they had tvs on with old footage of people skateboarding doing tricks and wiping out. Had the beef burrito and while not the traditional Mexican burrito, I think I liked it more as it wasn't as heavy/dry. No beans, but veggie instead which was nice. Wife had the fish bowl and that was also pretty good, though I think I would prefer it as a burrito instead. Ordered the Cucumber Margarita and it was amazing. Really tasty and highly recommended. Also grabbed the churro for dessert and it was pretty good as well. Overall enjoyed our meals and can see ourselves coming back again when craving some burritos. They also have happy hour, so make sure to check that out if you're in the mood for tacos.
This dimly lit place is perfect for a wonderful meal at Chinook mall. It is tucked away in the north corner of the mall. We had couple of appetizers and starters and main course, everything was very good. I love the corn fritters and Tacos. Just remember that Tacos are priced for one on menu. To end with the perfect desert of churros and Icecream was perfect! Service was good and ambiance is casual for tasteful.
We ordered 3 different tacos, chicken wings and the fries. My favourite taco would have to be the fish one. I also really enjoyed their corn tortillas. If you’re looking to try this place out, they have a pretty dope happy hour!!
If you come here for the vibes, they're great. Super California surfing vibes. As for the cuisine, its a white washed version of Mexican food. My salad was unfortunately bland and lacking flavour and balance. The tacos are small, but the salad portions were huge. One plus is the great selection of margaritas, although for $14 each I expect a very high quality.
I enjoyed dinner here with my mom and sister. The tacos were good and so were the drinks. The portions are not huge but not super small. We were a bit disappointed with the service. We didn't all receive our drinks together so we had to wait about 10 minutes before we could even cheers. The atmosphere and decor in this place are great. Hopefully service improves.
This place has great potential as the interior is beautiful and it’s in a good location. However, our experience wasn’t the best and maybe it was just an off day. The tacos we had were just okay and not worth it for the price in my opinion. There are far better places in the city that you can go for for better tacos at a better price. We also ordered corn fritters that was simply inedible due to the fact that it was completely covered in salt. All my friends and I took 1 bite each and could not finish the rest. We told our waitress as well but nothing was done so I just paid for them and threw them out which was disappointing. Since everything was so salty we asked for more water but we’re left sitting until our bills came.
