Went in for lunch, was not disappointed. All of us ordered off their bowl menus and portion size was reasonable. Nice and Clean Tables, good service, good good. Would recommend a visit for sure, and if planning an outing their menu is also very good for take out.
Simple but very impressive place with nice and minimalistic design. Food was great but I felt the price is bit high for the small portion of food served. Overall good and authentic food experience with neat presentation on the plate. Friendly staff. Paid street parking available on the adjacent street. Ordered the spicy falafel bowl for lunch. It took a bit of time but was worth the wait. Fantastic flavour and a good slow burn when finished. Add this to the go-to list for lunch! Next time I'll order ahead.
This location has different food serving and sauces than Vancouver one. It was a bit surprising as I expected food to taste the same. Nevertheless, it was delicious! Staff is friendly. I would recommend to try halva brownie dessert.
The fries I got were burnt. Also the quantity of the chicken in the platter was so little as if someone deliberately put less. The food tasted okay but that meal was not worth the money at all in terms of quantity. Not buying again anytime soon. Vancouver location has much better service.
It could be better. Chicken and steak were tasty but really low portion. Salad and hummus were also tasty. Falafels tasted a little bit burned though but tasted good.
I had a chicken wrap last week and it was not awful taste. It was full of cabbage and hardly find chicken inside though it was chicken wrap. Instead chicken I got too much fries. Hope will take care next time.
I’ve been wanting to try superbaba for a long time now. The service was great and staff were hustling to fill orders on a busy lunch hour. I got the steak bowl with added eggplant. I have mixed feelings about it, the steak was super tough only about 5 chunks of it and the salad and rice that comes with the bowl is minimal. A couple spoonfuls each. But the green sauce is delicious and the fried eggplant was very good! Definitely try it out. Maybe just try the falafel or the chicken option.
Perfect spot for a quick & tasty bite! Was recommended to try this spot, and it didn't disappoint! The chicken was flavourful and the rest of the bowl added depth to the dish... really tasted great! Staff were super friendly, even though we arrived 20 minutes before close! Our food was out of the kitchen inside of 10 minutes, which was amazing. Will definitely return!
Update: Tried again and it was back to normal! Everything was great. Must have just had bad luck last time. Here’s the old review for posterity… Very bummed to be sharing a poor review of this place, but thought it was important to post in hopes they do some course correction. I've been eating here once every couple of months for years, but my order last night was just... bad. I ordered two chicken wraps one spicy, one not, fries, and pita chips. The chicken wraps both seemed to be using a new less good wrap -- is it whole wheat now? Just cheaper? The wrap was also closed on top whereas it used to be open on one end, so it had less volume inside and therefore wasn't as filling as normal. Some fillings were almost totally missing basically no turnip/fries/etc. inside, and the stuff that *was* inside was way off: the spicy one only had a ton of hot sauce but none of the other normal flavours in there to match. So it was just pure hot sauce in the wrap. The chicken chunks themselves used to be smaller and have more crispy/flavourful surface area, but this time it was just giant chicken thigh hunks including some gristle, so the chicken itself was also different -- much worse, in my opinion. It amounted to two bad wraps stuffed with almost 100% chicken and covered in hot sauce. Nothing special at all -- totally below average. The bag of fries was a generous portion size, but the quality was terrible. Every fry was way overdone. They were all deep brown and way too crispy, which is a big departure from their normal quality. The oil tasted old, too. Same story with the pita chips. All overcooked. We ended up throwing out the majority of the fries and almost all of the pita chips. Really disappointing to spend a bunch of money and then feel compelled to just toss most of the meal. The only thing that met my expectations from previous visits was the garlic mayo, which was still awesome. But when you've tossed out all the fries to eat it with, it doesn't do much good! I'd no longer recommend people to eat here based on this order. It's not like just one thing was off -- everything in the order was significantly worse than what I'm used to. I'll probably try once more at some point in a few months, but if it's anywhere near this experience I won't be going back. I don't know if this is a staff/costing/management/training change, but almost everything in the order was way below standards from my previous visits. This level of quality was way below what it used to be. I was really disappointed. Please get back to the consistent quality you used to have! I'm sad to have lost one of my go-to places for takeout!
