Super 8 Dawson Creek

Service was exceptional, the staff allowed us to check in super early which was fantastic. The rooms were clean, the heat worked well, and the bathroom fan was much quieter than many other hotels. The fridge was a little small and it was a bit dated, but overall it was a nice stay.

bugs all over the breakfast room and food table. very, very rude personnel that are taking care of the dinning room. first time in my life that i’ve ran into a rule where “you can’t bring out food from the room and must eat it at the table”. if i want to eat a muffin, let’s say at lunch time i’ve paid for breakfast, am i not allowed to bring it out and have it whenever or wherever? that’s stupid. always thought when you work in service, that you aren’t supposed to raise your voice or be rude to customers in any way. after an argument that occurred between one of the customers and the lady working in the kitchen, she was running around, cleaning and banging the doors, 20-30 minutes before breakfast was even over. do not suggest staying here. would rather place a tent somewhere and be at peace.

Clean, quiet place. Having the restaurant next door was very nice. Breakfast was good compared with the Super 8 in Abbotsford. Not a great place to walk dogs and the pet pen was miniscule but we made it work. Otherwise it was a great place!!

Excellent service and location for weary travellers. Friendly staff, comfortable, clean rooms. Tasty selection of breakfast food. Convenient public laundry.

Probably one of the better hotels I've stayed in. Front desk personnel are very helpful, friendly and professional. The fridges cannot hold drinks well. Need to lay most of them down on the shelves. Cannot fit pizza boxes. Minor things. The lights could be a bit brighter with daylight bulbs 5000K bulbs and not soft white 3000K bulbs bulbs, too yellow. Would be nice to have more outlets to charge things. Maybe a power bar or strip bar to connect electronics too. Nice that there is a restaurant connected. Breakfast nook area is nice also free. Limited items to choose from, but ok for the most part. Great that they have a coffee stand set up by front desk 24/7. Parking stalls are spaced decently apart and adequate parking on the east side of the hotel on gravel for big trucks, etc. Benches outside for smokers or just to relax. Overall it's nice and comfortable place to stay. No Frills across the street is very handy.
