Room was completely unacceptable. Heater didn’t blow warm, they had to bring a space heater to make it tolerable. Running a hair dryer tripped electrical breaker for entire room. Tv remote wouldn’t turn on tv. Linoleum floors during winter without a door mat to at least wipe feet on. Shower temp was either too cold to shower or scalding. In my opinion dangerous bathing little children. I’ve stayed in many hotels throughout the USA and Mexico and never have been so unsatisfied that I packed up and moved to another hotel for the remainder of our stay in Sarina Ontario.
WARNING! DO NOT STAY HERE! We were informed by one of our group about the conditions of the hotel and the lack of safety. The doors have huge gaps and when asked to move rooms, they said they are all like that and to place a towel in the gap. It is the middle of winter in January, and the rooms have no heat. The front desk was giving out space heaters. Hostel should not even be open until it can address the safety for its customers. The front desk was rude and unhelpful when we tried to cancel. If they cannot provide the basic needs of heat, shelter and good customer service, they should not even be in operation. Stay somewhere, anywhere else but here. The reviews that are positive should be questioned of their validity because this hotel is run down and should be condemned.
I was supposed to stay here with my hockey team for silver sticks and two of our families checked in and it was terrible, one of our families had a room that had exhaust leaking into him room through a hole in the door and they were offered towels to help, another family stayed in a room on the second floor and they were in -10 Celsius the front desk offered a heater but they could not run it all night long, then later in the morning after a shower the hairdryer blew the breaker in their room. The hotel was filthy on the outside and inside, the hallways were very dirty and the walls had dirt or something all over them, the building was very cold the people working were kind and tried their best to help but the manager was rude and wouldn’t let my family talk without her interrupting saying she disagrees without listening. There was also a foul smell lingering in the hallways and rooms.
Was very pleased with both the gentleman that checked us in, plus Rose the following day who aided in tweaking the room, and helped us old folks with the tv. Both had wonderful helpful dispositions that made you feel like you had come home. I am sorry that I cannot remember the gentleman's name. He was new, but very helpful.They both need to be recognized for representing Super 8 in such a wonderful manner.
Honestly walking in first hand, Rose and her co worker were amazing. That's the type of customer service and greeting you got to have. Rose was awesome and I hope she had an amazing couple of days off. Hope to see Rose again when I pass through sarnia again. P.S if rose still there, that is where I will be coming to stay the night, she was amazing with my daughter.
