I was told that if I accepted a price match savings on my books, that the money would back as a gift card. I agreed to those terms and planned to apply the gift card of savings to the most expensive item on my list on a separate transaction. The “manager” was so fed up with how the system made her redo the entire transaction three different times that in the end, she charge my $99 savings gift card to my book total. Then argued with me for two days that she was correct and they owe me nothing. I got the price match discounts on my books and then paid for it? She even pulled her trusty co-worker over to have him explain it all to me. In the end, he wouldn’t go against her and instead went along with what she was saying after agreeing with me that he understood what I was saying but she would not let it go and insisted she was right. I left in a storm, don’t have all of the books I need and went straight to the Dean of students. This “manager” Theresa has no business working in customer service nor around money. She is completely incompetent! Would not recommend using SUNY Broome BookStore by Follett to anyone.
Friendly staff helped.my nephew get his books for his first year in college. They explained how to look and what books to get.
Horrible customer service. Ordered a laptop, 4 days later it still hadn't shipped. Called on day 4 to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere. The employee told me that the order was canceled and I was all good. Fast forward 6 more days, I get a notification that the laptop has shipped, and my accounts were charged. Called back, they said there was nothing they could do. I have to now wait for the product to arrive and then take it back to the bookstore to get a refund. I explained that I have a full time job, 8-5 Monday to Friday and I couldn't bring it back since they close at 4. They just told me to have someone else bring it back. I got no apologies, nothing. Do yourself a favor and don't overpay or get screwed over.
Paid for 1-2 shipping, it has been 8 days, i still haven't gotten them. Called twice, once they sent me straight to voicemail. Second time they said they'd call me back and hung up on me. I never complain but I am really upset I needed my books before this friday..... Should order off Amazon. Never ordering here again.
The store itself isn't bad, a little small, but the hours of operation are awful. SUNY Broome sells itself as a school that can cater to working students, yet the store isn't open weekends and closes at 4 on weekdays. More than a little inconvenient to have to take time off of work to purchase textbooks.
So happy I chose to go back to college at BCC! I am now on my way to higher education through their partnership program with Suny Empire. I highly recommend BCC for students of all ages.
I attend school here and I love it. The professors are great and there are lots of programs & resources for students.
My very first semester this year and they were very nice pleasant and helpful and shared valuable information
Lady was very rude when I had a question. I was trying to explain my circumstance and she just kept trying to hang up on me.
Poorly organized, too small. Too much junk not enough space. Way to expensive especially on used books you know they bought for dirt cheap
