This Beach is 15 minutes away from Blue Mountain Collingwood, the town is super cute, lots to explore and walk the shops along the strip. Sunset Beach is one of the most Beautifully man made Board walks and swimming beach with Crystal clear sparkling water. We had amazing most breath taking walks around that area with our 2 & 3 yr old which loves the outdoors. The homes along the boardwalk are so beautiful just an all around exciting day out with your family to spend at such a Gem.
We visited the sunset point beach in February, when the whole place is covered in snow. Some part of the lake was frozen, I am not sure if you can walk on the lake. The beach is beautiful and peaceful. If you are planning to go in the winter, please be cautious as you might slip and fall.
Aside from the cold weather, it was a good place for a walk. The wide horizon puts my mind at ease. The ice sculptures created by the waves of the lake were impressive and I wanted to come back in spring.
Loved the peace and serenity on it! Sunset was not great at all as it was cloudy, nonetheless would love to visit it next time we are again in Blue mountain. It's 15mins drive from Blue mountains! We couldn't go to Wasaga beach, so visited here. There are benches to sit on as well as one can sit on rocks. Water is crystal clear!
Visited sunset point beach in all seasons, looks pristine during winters and tropical during the summers, it’s a freshwater pebble beach with shallow waters to take a dip during the hot summers. Quite close to wasaga beach and has a comparatively smaller park to enjoy a picnic. Similar to many ontario parks the washrooms are closed during winters!
Beautiful small beach for a quick water play. Nice trail to for a walk with your spouse and a dog. This is not a sandy shore but rocky. But sand beaches are 5-7 mins drive. Parking is paid $10/hr. But park is big enough for family picnics. Perfect weekend get away from Toronto.
Clean water and not as much crowded as you would expect in a normal beach. Lots of shade and walking paths to enjoy around the waters. Parking is expensive when paid at the pay machine on-site, about 10$ per hour. Next time I try to visit ll try the app. This is a rocky beach and recommend to wear slippers.
The best place in Collingwood for spending time with family or friends. Beautiful sunset point, photogenic location and scenic views. Also, small beach area. Paid parking $10 for 2 hours and $50 for a day.
The best place in Collingwood for pending time with family or friends and doing picnic. Beautiful sunset point, photogenic location and scenic views. Also, small beach area with less sand and can enjoy swimming. Great place for walking with your spouse or partner. Best time to visit is evening during sunset and enjoy the beauty of nature. Free Parking available
This is a great picnic spot with good number of tables and enough open space, parking is close by meaning you don’t have to walk too long with your stuff. That’s the only good part about parking, it’s quiet expensive compared to any similar place, I guess this ensures less crowded place on weekends so could be a plus too. Please not while this beach allow BBQ its only at designated areas, so please check before you select a spot. Now the reason I took of one star from this otherwise great location is that the beach has less sand and more salt, so be warned that if not careful you will get hurt. Overall recommended as a good picnic/pursing spot with some water fun than a pure beach experience.
