Classic breakfast diner, with great staff and delicious food. I've come here for breakfast and brunch for many years. The eggs Benny and homemade hollandaise sauce is delicious. I highly recommend coming here with friends and family.

Decent breakfast spot. Went on a weekday morning, it was pretty empty. Has a weird musty smell. Breakfast was decent. Service was ok. Nothing stands out. But nothing was horrendous either.

I took my boyfriend for a birthday brunch here today and we loved it. Our server was really sweet and provided excellent service. Hats off to the chef - food was delicious and cooked perfectly!! I usually don't like breakfast sausages but theirs were really good. I recommend the Chef's Special for $10.49 - pancakes are fluffy and yummy! They also have a special for $5.99. Definitely coming back here soon! :

Went for a quick breakfast with my friend. We ordered the special, one with sausage the other with bacon. We waited way too long with nobody else in the restaurant. When we got our order the sausage was beyond over cooked and the bacon was precooked and very greasy my eggs weren’t cooked to order. When the server came over and we pointed out the sausages her comment was “what you don’t like them like that?” We asked her for bacon instead she quickly returned with cold bacon and asked for the sausages because the cook wanted to see it. Underwhelmed with the food service and price. If I could give it zero stars I would.

I've tried places like eggsmart, Cora's and this place was so much better ! The food was amazing.so delicious ! Whoever the chef is , they're amazing . I ordered the spicy mexican and it was so tasty.my husband ordered eggs Benedict and said it was very good as well. Highly recommend this place if you want a delicious breakfast .

Called around to many places asking if I could bring my small dog in; long behold after having a nice conversation on the phone with the manager he said come on in' my dog is well trained so he sat under the table didn't bark at all while I ate my breakfast, I left very very satisfied and now knowing I can go in with him I will go there even for a coffee. Very happy with the service and breakfast was delicious! A++ would give 10 stars if I could . Thank you and God bless .

I go to this restaurant weekly with my mentor. The food isnt very good and the coffee is bad, but we like coffee service and it’s a quaint, local, greasy spoon. So I have never complained because I kind of know what to expect. I attend regularly as I have for months but today was different. Walking in the smell of rotting eggs or cabbage hit me full in the face. My. Enter who had already been seated had noticed but tried to make the best of it and we continued with our scheduled meeting. When our waitress arrived we inquired about the alarming smell but she told us she didn’t notice. And we carried on as usual. I ordered my regular coffee and a bagel and my mentor ordered food. But the waitresses disposition changed significantly. Her body language and cheery disposition had gone cold. We weren’t rude just trying to advise so something could be done. She brought our bill early and had charged us 3x for our coffee than usual. She advised that prices had suddenly “gone up.” Another staff member overheard us talking and advised the waitress that she had overcharged us and inquired why. There was no reasoning offered to explain the sudden increase or effort made to correct the issue. Obviously we were being charged and treated differently for a reason. This is disheartening that in 2019 that the distinct and unsettling blatant discrimination against some people some and not others is happening still, in my local Pickering community. Please don’t support this business. The food isn’t very good, there is a clear health and safety concern the smelland the owners/waitresses have some discriminatory practices. Thanks for reading.

Good food, good service, good prices. I go out for a breakfast every other week, and I actually prefer it here than to Sunset grill try not to get confused on the naming. Chef's special is the most filling and cost effective menu item in my experience.

Sept 17 went in for brunch. Been to this greasy spoon twice before. The service is okay but not this day. Two blonds were working. The taller one had our section and it took her a bit of time to come over and provide menus and drink order. Okay, fine. We asked for coffee and tea. She was polite. When she returns with the packaged tea bag; it fell on the floor. She picks it up; mumbles something and places the same tea bag on the tea pot. She didn’t even pretend to get another one. Just the same one from the floor. The floor…where people walk…through the restaurant. This interaction had me questioning what happens in the kitchen if the waitress could drop the tea bag on the floor and present it like I was in her home and the 5-second rule applied. No thank-you. I work hard for the money and although this is not a 5-star restaurant; they could at least treat the paying customer with more respect. So I told her we changed our mind; walked out and posted this for others to see as I figure this is more effective than telling said waitress that what she did was a d*ck move. Hope the owner reads it.

Fantastic food and good value. Missed them durring COVID 19 but glad to see they weathered the storm and are now open again. Its one of my fav greasy spoon mom n pop shops to eat breakfast.
