Sunoco Gas Station

Do not apply or even eat the food at Sunoco or Laredo Taco near the mall. I'll start with the food portion, the food sits for several hours if not the entire day, the food in the vendo gets relabled to make it seem newer than it is every day just so they don't have to be make more. Most of if not all dishes are rinsed and not washed. The sink water rarely gets changed within a day. Some have worked without aprons and I have pulled hairs out of food. Oh and their tongs for the hot dogs rarely get washed every four hours like they are supposed to and that is with people touching them and children dropping them on the floor on the daily. Now on to why you shouldn't work for them. I had health issues regarding my stomach from the beginning of my employment. I don't have a choice on when I get it, it happens. My shift leaders, supervisors and the GM were made aware of this issue. I missed work because of it. I was told doctors notes didn't matter. I brought one in explaining that I can't work and it must have got thrown in the trash. I professionally asked for time off and spilled my life to them because that's how important this job was to me. Suffice to say, I still had stomach issues, which I get in the middle of the night into the morning, it's what resulted in a couple call offs. I had people cover for me also, still didn't matter. Got written up twice in two days time. She's insulted a co worker trying to transfer to another Sunoco. You know when a supervisor gets a call to get a reference for a new job, she illegally responded to the routine call with insults that almost cost her her job. When I first started working I was getting hit aside the head by a shift leader for making a mistake. I was cursed out by a supervisor because it was busy and he was flustered. A friend of mine was grabbed ahold of by a supervisor. I strongly advise you not to work here or even give them the business. I was dropped to 15 or less hours a week, while health was still taking $40/week out of my paycheck. I asked to get this changed (the amount every week). I called HR and they transferred me to several people before I got to talk to the glorious district manager Denise. She told me I was screwed pretty much and I can't change my plan or drop it. Cars battery died, got stranded and just yesterday got fired for it, supposedly being the last straw of them all. I made the active manager on duty aware of this situation but I was told I should have found a ride and made it in somehow. Funny isn't it? Just came in for my shift at 4PM. I show up, ready to work and that's when she told me I'm getting wrote up and ultimately terminated. Food on the line gets stirred without gloves. So if you wanted some food from this place, I advise not to. There have been numerous occasions where customers have found hair in their food.The employees use the same utensils and don't clean the grille after cooking on it, eggs, pork, beef, vegetables, etc. They mix newly made and mix it with the old (hours old) in order to not have to make more later. I was told that I have been repeatedly accommodated for my health issues and that they don't do that for everyone? Oh so if you have a health problem, don't get it here because they won't help you out. They resticker vendo items and salads and sandwiches also so if the salami looks a little gray, that's undoubtedly why. I've been threatened by a shift leader via text message because I called him out about his leadership. The rags used to clean the counters are the same ones used all day with no sanitation liquid used with them. I mean come on, they hired a guy with a swastika on his arm.I have never in my life felt so disrespected in the workplace and I've worked at some pretty run down places. They don't think about what happens when they unfairly terminate an employee who suffers from severe anxiety, just got married, bought a house. I hope you are nice and cozy in your comforting home Michele and that you are able to live with altering ones life because of a broke down car. P.S. Don't eat there.

Nice little AMBEST fuel stop. Good healthy sandwiches at Laredo Taco. Gave 4 stars because they do not have showers for CDL Drivers.
