Sunnybrook Dermatology Clinic

My first appointment, delayed for 6 months by Dr. Lansang, for assessment was non-urgent considering how my eczema had been healing on my own care. I visited her around June 2022. Upon first meeting, the doctor noticed and rather mocked how my hand eczema, based on the background info, was fading after a few months. I found that the doctor was rather dismissive and rude when I mentioned that I believed I’ve cured my eczema naturally during the time leading up to her appointment. Since the corticosteroid cream from a family doctor failed to heal and made it worser from April to September 2022, after having to take my skin into my own care with natural treatments instead, my hands and body ended up healing better with little to no eczema now. So when I kindly told her that decided that I wouldn’t need her similar prescription of cream anymore, she just rudely concluded the conversation and left the room unbothered. She seemed to care more about providing prescriptions like what most doctors would be quick to do for the money. So she didn’t even care to listen to her own patient’s personal experiences and looked offended because of course, she is the doctor who knows most on ‘big pharma’. It was disappointing that the doctor lacked compassion and empathy, so I’m glad I didn’t have to come back.

I have been seeing Dr. Walsh for over 10 years, he is kind, and very informative. His students are always polite and helpful. The receptionist is amazing, she remembers that we travel almost 2 hours and she books our appointments with this in mind. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to receive health care from Sunnybrook.

Dr. Raed Alhusayen is awesome. Such a compassionate doctor and very personable. The ladies at receptionist are amazing and very accommodating. A fantastic experience as always.

my gp sent a referral at the request of my oncologist who works at sunnybrook on November 29th, 2021. I called twice, both times leaving a message asking if they had received the referral because it had been a couple of weeks + since it was sent. today is January 4th and I am STILL waiting. I am very familiar with the current staffing situation at this hospital I am a cancer patient but it is ridiculous to have to be waiting this long to hear back, especially when the recorded message states that you will hear from them within 24 hours. now what?

Rude and completely unsympathetic and incompetent receptionists working here. Had my referral initially sent in at the beginning of December from my GP. Waited a month for a callback from them. No hear. So I called them in January to get the status of my referral. They don't have it.... !!!!! Was advised by the receptionist to contact my GP to have it resent again. Did so but while I was I double checked with my GP's secretary if she had initially sent the fax referral back in December and she confirmed to me that they had it on record that it was successfully sent to and received by them. Yet the Sunnybrook receptionist didn't have the 1st referral. What are these people even doing over there??? What the hell did they do with the 1st fax referral????? What makes this even more intolerably infuriatingas if I was a volcano is that if I hadn't had the inkling and initiative to follow-upafter waiting a month they wouldn't have gotten back to me at all, DESPITE the 1st referral having been sent to and successfully received by them. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. To makes things even more agitating was that the receptionistwith the Caribbean accent has a nasty attitude like she can't even be bothered. Because these incompetent and rude receptionist working there lost or misplaced the 1st referral I now have to wait longer while my condition worsens and continue to experience more alopecia. If ONLY she knew how badly I was biting my tongue.

took 2 days, multiple calls and emails to simply reschedule an appointment. When someone finally did answer she was short and rude and while i was in the middle of thanking her she hung up the phone on me. Terrible reception skills

Dr. Yeung is a awesome doctor. He has helped me immensely in my fight against psoriasis. I was depressed and feeling worthless until he prescribed Humira. It worked immediately! He is a gentleman with a excellent bedside manner and a keen sense of humor. I am blessed to have him as my doctor.

Went to emergency for a bad infection on my neck 3 weeks ago. Emergency put in a referral for their dermotogist, which was suppose to get back within a week - working days or I should call from what they told me. I called the dermatology office on the 6th day after my visit to emergency, just to confirm they had received my referral from emergency. I was greeted by a very rude and direct receptionist. I asked if my referral was submitted, within a second of reply from the receptionist I was told, "there is nothing here" glad you took the time to look, thanks then followed I was told, "it takes 6 weeks". This infection was very sore and big in size, so I asked what am I suppose to do now, as emergency said, within a week I'd hear back or to call the number on the form I was given. Following my question, I was hung up on by the receptionist, so I tried to call her back and now my call was not being picked up this is a hospital, I'm not calling Bestbuy to find out if a t.v came in that I ordered online. Just disgusting! 3 weeks later I have not heard a word or seen anyone at Sunnybrook's dermatology department.

Dr. Shear I believe saved my life. Incredible person. Doctors from around the world recognize him and dermatologists at Sunnybrooke! Reception and back office team are friendly. I actually like visiting this department!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i was waiting for hours but that was not the pb the pardon was wehn the dr came she was really not giving any interest...she look like she was divoced in this day ...do not waist ur time going there they just want u to leave 0 result
