Great breakfast place in Cochrane. I ordered the traditional breakfast with spicy, Italian sausage and waffles. Yummy! We loved the ambiance and friendly, efficient service. NOTE: reservations are highly recommended. This little gem gets super busy!
Stopped in here for breakfast while before heading out to the lake for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the piggy benny and it was delicious very filling too. Wow. Hidden gem in Cochrane. Always searched for good place to eat in Cochrane- we travel Thru this town to go to the mountains. Differently one of the tastiest breakfast you can have. Staff are super friendly. Owner Carmen briefly met her works so hard to keep the place running. I believe two other guys work in the kitchen. My wife and I had a traditional breakfast with French toast. Best gluten free French toast I’ve ever tasted. Coffee complimented the food. Very Busy place tho - it’s obvious locals love this place and tasty foods on the menu. It was raining in the morning otherwise it’s a beautiful seating outdoor - this will be our go to breakfast place before aheading to the mountains. Cheers you guys continue to keep the quality up and serve the customers well as you do. We love supporting the local businesses.
I got there 10 minutes before closing time, but that didn't stop me from being treated to wonderful service and a delicious sandwich. I could feel all the ingredients that were there and the freshness of their preparation. I want to go back more often , but before closing time .
I got the San Daniele breakfast Bowl and my husband got the the foodie buddy breakfast bowl. Both were delicious! We got a side of bacon strips and a banger sausage and it was a ton of food. Service was friendly and attentive. Deducted 1 start only because it's a bit pricey, but I think all brunch places are. First time here today but will definitely be returning!
First impressions when entering is that the restaurant is very cramped, with tables very close together. With the small location it makes sense however once we were seated at a two person table with half a wall blocking it from the rest of the restaurant, with not even room for us to sit across from one another, but with the chair crammed into the side with a jacket on the back of his chair the people at the next table couldn't get up from theirs. So to say we felt packed in like sardines is an understatement. We couldn't figure out who our server was, as two different women came by and asked us what we wanted to order / needed at different times. We both ordered an Eggs Benny they have many options for these which I loved! We were told the eggs only come poached medium I am used to restaurants letting you choose how poached you want your eggs since I like mine medium though I figured it'd be great. Unfortunately, my "medium" poached eggs were very soft, with the inner whites of the eggs being gooey and inedible. If you are going to specialize in only medium poached eggs, I would hope they would be nearly perfect everytime, so although the coffee was hot and servers were nice enough when they remembered we were there I was left very disappointed overall with the food quality, especially for the price.
Staff is consistently great here. Just the right amount of 'be attentive' ... coffee is hardly empty and the food is spot on. Kudos to both Front & Back of house. I would suggest getting the App sorted and check the waiting list prior to arriving. Very early is always easy to get a table. Prime time? Plan ahead or patiently wait. Great job again today Sunny Side Up -- we'll be back.
A cute breakfast restaurant with good food and service. I do wish that there was more of a dress code for servers though... some were not dressed in a way I would expect or like to see in a family breakfast restaurant.
My family and I have been coming to Sunny Side Up for a few years now and everytime it has been consistent with quality and amazing taste. The staff there are always so friendly and go above and beyond. There’s no other breakfast place that could ever compare to what you get here. The food is always high quality and fresh, so worth it!!!
Haven't visited in a while but I am catching up on my reviews. The menu is well rounded with numerous choices. Service is fast and efficient prices are fair for the quality of food. Another great local business here in Cochrane will support them as often as I can.
