We stopped at Sun Deli on a February Saturday afternoon after walking down Jacksonville Beach. It is a couple of blocks west. We were very pleased with the choices offered. We both had wraps. Each one was made to order with our specified choices. I even had mine heated which was awesome. There are several tables eat at. When we were there it was busy, but our order came very fast and was delicious. Definitely recommend!
Let me start by saying I grew up at the beach and I’ve never eaten at this place until today. It’s lunchtime and I was starving, I passed by and decided to stop. I walked in and was greeted by a lovely staff, the lobby was clean and everyone was friendly. I was on a time restraint so I asked the lovely lady at the counter how long the wait was. She told me no longer than 10 minutes. I was cool with that because I had 10 minutes to spare. My sandwich came out with in seconds! And it’s delicious! Thank you all so much!
I love Sun Deli. It’s been a part of the beach for a long time. We used to eat here for lunch when I was in high school. It’s a family owned and operated business and the sandwiches are not only very good but a reasonable price. Also the soups are super good, my favorite is probably the beer cheese soup.
My daughter has been ordering subs since she moved to the beach when she was in college. That was 1999! Now I get salads from there because everything is not just really fresh but their tomatoes taste like tomatoes. Wow!
The best club I've had in years. Next visit I'm going for the roast beef. Perfect for lunch or dinner and the subs are huge.
I have been going to Sun-Deli for the past 15+ years. There are many great sandwich/sub shops around Jax but Sun-Deli is personally my favorite. The bread they use combined with the quality of meat and the concoctions they put together are so darn good. The 3rd street all the way, and hot is my go-to or the Gnarly Charlie with added avocado. I prefer mine hot toasted but they are just as good cold if you prefer that way. The cuban pictured here and cheesesteak are also really good. The Void and 9.0 are great if you want something different and extra filling.
A great, local place to grab a sandwich. Super fast ordering, has no problem with any customizations you do I am dairy-free. Ordering online is also simple and easy.
Boar's Head! I cannot believe it took me this long to try this place. Trust the process and try one of their specialties. The picture in this post is the Third Street Sub. Bonus, the crew is very welcoming! I'm a repeat customer, now. P.S. multiple friends have raved about the salads, here. I doubt you can go wrong, either way. Edited to add, soups are on fire! My fave is the chicken pot pie. Call ahead for soups yes with an s of the day!
I get to the beaches a couple times a month. I always hit Sun Deli. They make a good sandwich. They also make great salads. I've never been disappointed there. Highly recommend
This is a long time staple deli here at the beach. On this trip I had the Cuban sandwich and my dining partners had the Reubens. Both choices were excellent. My Cuban was fantastic with crispy bread and moist tender meat! I forget about this place sometimes but not anymore, highly recommended and a go to place in Jax Beach!!
