I called this company because the one I used to use is gone and my air conditioner is working, but not well enough. In the past it had been removed, cleaner, etc. and returned good as new. I told the person on the phone what kind of unit it is and its history. He said it could be repaired in place and he would send someone, calling first. My doorbell rang unexpectedly and the repairman was here, so I showed him the unit. He looked at it for not more than a minute, called his boss from outside so I could not hear, then I got a call from the man I first spoke to saying that nothing could be done, the unit is too old, but offering to sell me a whole new system. I still had to pay the $179 plus tax "service" call, but he offered to take that off the price of the new unit. What a SCAM!!! Now I am out $205 and still have the problem to deal with. I'd buy from anyone in town but Summit for sure.
These guys are as good as it gets.We had 2 estimates to replace our Air Conditioner/Heat Pump and their total installation price was by far the best. If I could give more then 5 stars I would. By the way this review was totally unsolicited. It is my pleasure to give this company a well deserved plug.
I called Summit Air last week in the middle of a heat wave and asked if they could come look at my unit that stopped blowing cold the day before. The sir on the phone suggested I replace it as it was expensive to have it serviced and I thanked him and let him know I was going to continue to look for someone to service it. I called about 10 A/C repair places in Montreal to find out he has the cheapest rates... All other companies if they would even come to look as they DIDN'T install it wanted minimum $100-$150 just to show up and another $100 for the first hour. Summit Air quoted me $179 to show up and that also included 1.5h of labor. The repair man just left my house, he told me that I wouldn't need to replace the ac unit until the compressor went and that wasn't happening in the next long while. The part I needed to replace was $45 and now the ac is blowing like it was never broken. THANKS GUYS!!! I will definitely recommend you to anyone that is looking for a new ac unit or service for an old one.
I received excellent service, from start to finish, from Summit Air. They were exceedingly prompt in coming to our house and upon arrival, the technician was courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. Bottom line: a really great experience as it should be!. I strongly recommend the company to anyone who is looking for some help with their unit. Your company definitely deserves recognition for the work you do!
Terrible. Tried to get service for a unit he sold me one year ago and he basically refused to send anyone. Told me that having buckets of water leaking into the house was normal. Told me I was being obstinate when I persisted in trying to get him to send help. I finally got in a technician from another company who solved the problem - a temporary fix since it's partly caused by a problem with installation.
Terribly service. My air unit was not working. When I called the owner, he was very rude and would not help.
