Story

In July 1944, Summerland Credit Union was founded by ten people with limited resources but plenty of foresight. They saw an alternative to traditional banking methods: people working together to reach their goals. By sharing their knowledge, skills and energy, these pioneers built a foundation based on the principle of sound financial management.

Today, we're a thriving credit union and a fixture in our community. Our primary purpose is to serve people. We've helped thousands of members buy their first home, start a new businesses, send their children to college and save for their future — in addition to providing job opportunities for local people. In the coming years, we expect to do more of the same, as our first priority will always be people.
