This place is worth the drive from Vancouver. Ribs, hush puppies, and mac salad were all really good. Could personally do without the olives in the mac salad but it doesn’t bother me. Thought it was going to be a lot busier from other reviews but went around 1pm on a Saturday and there was no line. Will go back for sure.
Absolutely delicious! Great food truck! The service was efficient and friendly. The seating area is spacious enough and will seat several parties. We did go sit in the park because we were seeking shade. The food....our party ordered just the meat of brisket and pork. We also ordered rodeo fries with chicken and at the recommendation of an employee we added the hush puppies. The food was all delicious. We shared family style so we could try all the meats. The sauce was sweet, tangy, and just a tinge of spice. Overall we were very pleased! Be warned they sell out! We were there at about 12:30 and they were out of ribs and jalepeno sausage for the day.
Got their McRib + side I chose their macaroni salad. The reason I didn't give them 5-stars is because their macaroni salad was incredibly bland. I did not take a bite of the sandwich first just so I could fully experience the salad. It was disappointing to say the least. The noodles were cooked perfectly just wish there was a flavor. Now the sandwich...that was incredible! It was cooked to perfection and their BBQ sauce is one of the best I've had. The bun it was on was so fluffy and complimented the meat beautifully! I will go back but I'll have to try one of their other sides and hope for the best.
This is the primo BBQ place. Brisket has a nice smoke flavor, is moist and nice bark. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Pickles are great with just a medium dill flavor. Take a trip to this great little town of Ridgefield and get some excellent barbecue.
I will try to keep this short but I could go on extensively about how great everything is! Very good prices for what you get, both the portions and quality of food. Well worth the drive! I tried a variety of things, everything was terrific! I even brought a LB of brisket home for later! They have many little details that compliment everything and take it to a whole new level, it's no wonder why they are competition winning bbq! The baked beans are truly unique and unlike any I have ever had, the collared greens are fresh and delicious, alot of other places drown them in salt and vinegar, Sugars does not! Definitely my new go to bbq place!
Was at Sugars today for BBQ class. I had so much fun and learned a ton. She made brisket, ribs, pulled pork, pork loin, prime rib, bacon wrapped shrimp, wings, pepper bacon Mac and cheese and bread pudding. Plus you get to eat all the food she cooks. Great value . If like BBQ it is a must.
Everything was fresh and delicious. My husband raved about the brisket, but my mouth was too full of the fried shrimp sandwich to do more than make sounds of contentment.
Ribs were fantastic, the bbq sauce was amazing. The hush puppies with the peach pepper jelly were outstanding. We loved everything and cant wait to come back!
So glad this cart came to town. The brisket was amazing. I also highly recommend the beans. There's 7 or 8 outdoor tables so you can easily "dine-in" if the weather's nice. Parking is on the street and generally easy to find. No cash - card only.
