We ordered the 16” Amazon Deluxe and Yahara Chicken Alfredo pizza. Both were good, but I really like the Amazon Deluxe better. I’m more of the red sauce kinda guy. ONLY one disappointment…I didn’t ordered the thin crust, my bad not the server. I guess I just have to make a return trip!!! Sounds good to me! Oh…and a few days later my wife had to ordered something to go from the location in Sun Prairie…some pasta dish with shrimp. DELICIOUS!!! Glad she shared!
My wife and I ate here on Saturday 7/23/2022. We were seated right away and our waitress Sierra was very prompt and attentive. We had the Garden Belle pizza and it was delicious for sure. Some may have found the crust a little over done but I was fine with it. We ate outside on the covered patio and the music was relaxing and not to loud. As far as the prices go I feel they were well within line with other establishments and not over priced in any way.
Service, parking, atmosphere, patio only in warmer weather were all amazing. Our waitress was super fast and attentive. However, the GF pizza was a little below average and VERY salty I got the Mediterranean, which had pesto instead of red sauce, so maybe that's why?. I would definitely order a different kind of wine - I almost sent my Malbec back just tasted like the bottle had been open wayyy too long but didn't have the heart to since our waitress was so busy. Caesar salad is delicious, though, and oh my gosh you HAVE to try their ranch dressing even just as a dipping sauce - it's to die for and I almost added back a star for that!
I drove from Chicago to New Glarus yesterday for my birthday, and while the town was mostly closed who knew towns close Mondays and Tuesdays, I had a lovely lunch here. I ordered the baked potato pizza - yum!
If you like expensive drinks and overpriced pizza then this is the place for you!! The service was lackluster, we didn't receive any drinks once our food came and were never checked in with. The appetizer we bought pretzel bites was good except that they brought us a spicy mustard dipping sauce instead of the beer cheese that was suppose to accompany it. If we had proper service we could've corrected this issue... The pizza arrived in a decent time and had plenty of toppings, however, the crust was not cooked all the way, the cheese was not melted in the middle, the toppings all fell off because they were on top of the cheese and the sauce was minimal at best. We asked for suggestions for a drink that was apple ale based and the server suggested a Fandango... It was $10 a can, was sour cherry flavored and tasted like wine. While he did offer to get us another drink I opted for soda instead.
We love Sugar River Pizza. Unfortunately they fall victim like any other business with employees; do they show up! Staff was wonderful at doing the best with what they had. Most times the food would be 5 starred but unfortunately this time pizzas didn't quite hit the mark, pretty overbaked. However this experience will not stop us from coming back. I enjoy a place when the staff can act as if they really do enjoy serving you.
Atmosphere was great! Just outside the downtown across the creek from Chalet Landhaus. Food took a little while and it all came at once instead of appetizers first then the main dish, but that was ok. Prince was not bad: couple of beers, two 12in pizzas, two side salads and 20 wings for $90. Ton of food and it was all delicious. The workers were hustling and doing a good job, very friendly staff. Can't wait to come back. Wish we had taken some pictures of the food, but we were so hungry it didn't last very long.
Our server was outstanding. She had so many tables and kept up.on all.of them. We had the spinach artichoke pizza. Very good. Vegetarian options: Some pizza we're available with no meat. Sorry all gone. Best ever wings a drumsticks. Strawberry, blue cheese salad was good too.
Came on a busy day, walked in and were seated within minutes. Server was friendly and present. Pizza's came quickly and were excellent. Crispy crust but still soft. Daughter's alfredo chicken was excellent. Breadsticks came quickly as well! Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
