This place has the laziest employees ever. They never open on time. They have a sign on the front displaying new business hours opening at 8 am for breakfast, I go to the door the man inside refused to open the door. Not the first time either. When they used to "open" at 9am they really opened at 10.
The people working are actually nice , unfortunately they’re understaffed and whenever there’s more than 2 people it’s a long wait .
some of the employees are kinda ignorant and clueless on how to make a sandwich right, ordered an oven roasted chicken and they gave me something else that didn’t even tasted like chicken, just burnt and rubbery. i asked them about it and they laughed it off, kinda pathetic of them. why hire people when they don’t know how to make a proper sandwich. made me think twice about this place, it never really happened to me, only once before but this is the second time and im thinking about just not coming here in general anymore.
The Indian lady in the store is so nice and very patient with another lady I saw in the store too.. thanks for the good service
Horrible staff went to eat at 9:15pm today and girl made me get up after I sat down to eat saying we close dine in at 8pm because she had cleaned. I had to eat outside standing up as I went on a motorcycle and couldn’t take my sandwich home. Never again spending my money here. If you close at 10:00pm then enforce it
My wife and I ordered sandwiches at subway Roselle chestnut st back in November and my sandwich was not made correctly. I returned to the store with the incorrect sandwich I was told by the cashier that I could have my sandwich remade or get a credit for future use, I choose a credit which was written on the receipt because I traveled all the way back to the store from Union. I returned to the store to redeem my credit and was told by the store owner that he would not honor the store credit because it wasn't their policy to have it written on the receipt as if I knew or was involved in setting up the policy. I could have left with the sandwich I paid for back in November, I decided to give it back and get a refund for the other two sandwiches I had purchased and leave the store. I would never patronize the subway in Roselle.
Was good but a lil slow with the service. Plus it's gotten expensive compare to what you oi get.
Dee, the young man that made my sub is one of the sweetest people that place has ever had. Well mannered, hard working & makes an amazing sandwich. That place is lucky to have him & I hope they tell him about this comment. Everyone in there should learn how to treat a customer from Dee. Thank you Dee. Your parents did an awesome job with you.
Today, I had a yen for Subway. Not for Wawa, or QuickCheck, but Subway. I hadn't been in years. Since going vegan, I go to such places very rarely, but especially subway. I remember when I was vegetarian, I used to go all the time and get a sub made with egg patty for protein, plus spinach, red onions, and BBQ sauce. Fantastic. Warm memories. I had hoped that, in 2021, I might be able to walk in and find a vegan protein option on the menu, but alas, it was not to be. But I ordered myself a veggie sub, with spinach, sweet peppers, banana peppers, red onions, tomatoes, and oil and vinegar on a toasted footlong Italian, with DP to drink. I'd planned to take my order to go, but looking outside, I saw that a giant thunderstorm was billowing water like there was no tomorrow. So I plunked down and dug into the target of my yearning. And it did not disappoint. I enjoyed eating this fresh, crunchy sub and watching the storm come and go. The only downer was that there was no one to way "thank you" to as I left. I know that Subway has had trouble building business in the last many years. "Fast casual" has affected the food industry in various ways. Perhaps if they can make a few changes, they can appeal to larger, fresher audiences again. Here are some ideas I have: vegan options, green messaging, get rid of the yellow color scheme it's too 80s/90s, have cooler music, offer nitro iced coffee in one of those beverage tanks which most people have without milk, switch to paper bags instead of plastic. Just a few thoughts. I guess something about subway still works, seeing as I developed a craving for it so many years later, and I'm glad I listened.
Longest time I've ever waited in line to order food. There was one worker doing online orders in this tablet, the second worker was standing around lost, and the guy that was actually taking live orders was super slow, and he was doing pick up orders simultaneously! I was there for over 20 mins. If you have actual customers seven of us waiting, attend them first before fulfilling pick up orders. Common sense!
