My wrap was ok. The ingredients were fresh enough. The thing that brought the stats down was the price and the tables being dirty. I was on my motorcycle so needed to dine in. No tables clean. I had a spinach wrap with pop and bag of chips. $13!!!! What happened to the prices?!? I used to get a meal for $5 all the time. They do have more options than ever, and the gal that helped me was pleasant. I just cringed spending $13 on a super simple sandwich that I couldn't even eat at a clean table. Tried again and had a 6 inch Italian sub with chips and a cookie for under $10. Much better price and tasty sandwich.
My friend and I didn't end up ordering anything. We walked in, saw that prices had just about doubled since our last visit, quite some time ago, turned around and walked out. I can buy a baguette and all of the accoutrements at a grocery store and make a sandwich. It's not like it's specialized cuisine.Food: 1/5
Always a bridesmaid but never a bride. Subway in Winterset has always been a bit "just not quite there". Overall, the place makes pretty good sammys. Management, leaves a bit to be desired. Occasionally, they'll hire vibrant "go-getters" who make the experience awesome. But if you normally strive for 4 outta 5 stars just to be on the better side of average, well...
I grab a sandwich here almost every week. The price for the cold cut is 35 cents higher at the register than what it posts soooo I tell them every week and just now I went and still no fix. 7 weeks in a row. I enjoy my sandwich but I’m not coming back til this is resolved. Most people never catch the extra charge. Really big bummer. Winters subway can do better
They just handled a lot of money. Didn't change gloves then made my sandwich. If you get sick could be the culprit. Sandwich was good though. So I'll give 2 stars.
Friendly service & quick too. My daughter & I had a great meal in a clean restaurant. Vegetarian options: My daughter on vegan. Everything is kept separate and fresh. The veggie salad was kinda small though.
Literally the worst subway I’ve ever been to. Place looks like trash. Employees got a hard time listening, they put mayo on my salad instead of ranch… I know it’s a small town but probably just go elsewhere. Not worth it for an over priced meal.

UPDATE 5/2/19 Wouldn't you know it tried to give them in a second chance had the same argument with the same meth head employee ask for extra olives said she couldn't the amount she put on there literally would have been three to four whole black olives give me a break you can buy a whole can of black olives for a dollar and she's going to argue with me over putting on a few extra it's not like I asked for a whole freaking can I really think the store needs to start drug testing its employees this chick was bouncing back and forth nonstop her name is Chris easily identifiable by the one good tooth that she has very sad the store has completely lost my business will not be going back Went there about 2 months ago ask for extra black olives woman who was making my sandwich said she can't put any more on and I swear on all that is Holy if you took all the olives that were actually on their it would have maybe made three whole olives pretty sure she was a tweaker by the way she was talking and bouncing back and forth
I would strongly suggest against online ordering here. People were coming in to pick up orders only to find themselves having to wait in line and have the employees make their order in front of them. This place needs new management. My food was what I expected... A over priced, decent tasting sub. You get what you get in small town 'Merica folks. Eat elsewhere.
