Stuffies Pastries
"Stuffies are irresistible pastries baked in delightful animal shapes, stuffed with a variety of delicious flavored crème custard pâtisserie fillings. Try a crispy cro-tai, a compressed fish-shaped croissant pocket sandwich, baked with either savory or sweet fillings to add excitement to your everyday sandwich. Stuffies soft serve is served on a vegan taiyaki waffle cone and garnished with a variety of toppings, treat skewers, and drizzles. With it's amazing creamy texture, you won't believe it's vegan."

They need a sign on top of their menu so it's easier to find! They get kinda lost in a sea of kiosks. Anyway, it's croissant-taiyaki. Not traditional taiyaki. The ham and cheese one was delicious. The vanilla one tasted like cheap, super sweet vanilla pudding. I would definitely recommend a savory one if you're going to check it out.
It looks cool but its quite gross to be honest. The “vegan” icecream tastes like water. The waffle fish cone thing tasted like stale old waffle with no real sweetness. And overly charged for something so gross.
It was ok. Didn’t really wow me in terms of taste. But presentation is nice! And its cute to boot. For what you get the prices are reasonable.
I missed the part in the menu that said it was vegan vanilla soft serve so when I took my first bite, my taste buds were extremely confused. Needless to say, the taste was not very good. Couldn’t tell it was vanilla, to be honest. I had to double check the menu, and found the words vegan vanilla soft serve written in small letters. The menus on the screen kept alternating so fast it was hard to read. The taiyaki pastry itself was dry and overly sweet, tasted a bit like cardboard. Overall, I would not recommend.
I stopped by during the weekend of Black Friday, a very busy mall. We had hot chocolate and sample of the pastries was provided by a delightful employee, I believe his name was Patel. The hot chocolate was one of the best I have ever had! The sample was fresh and decadent. I will be back for more snacks for sure. Good job folks!
Meh. I read that it was croissant taiyaki but it didn't taste anything like the ones in South Korea. Maybe just buy the single pastries and see if you like the taste before buying multiples. They were a little dry for me. Got the fish ice cream and it started crumbling half way through and very messy to eat. Would suggest a harder cardboard to help keep the "cone" from breaking, instead of just a paper wrap. I also thought I would be getting freshly made pastries as I saw the machines rolling, but was disappointed to be getting the ones in the display case instead. Overall, cute idea just not for me.
I got a box of the little bears with pastry cream and the fish with Nutella. Honestly they weren't awesome right out of the box. Then I noticed heating instructions. Heating them for 15 seconds in the microwave is a total game changer! The cro-tai are decent. The fillings are generous, but the dough portion could have more flavor. They definitely need to be heated up as well otherwise I could see them being quite dry. The presentation is super cute and I would never guess these were vegan or gluten free.
We visited Stuffies for the first time today. We tried the ice cream as well as the mini stuffies Pastries. Both are very rich and filling. The ice cream "fish" cones are gluten free and crunchy like a standard regular cone just larger and fish shaped. The soft serve ice cream is vanilla and vegan....the flavors are based on the toppings that they add. The mini stuffies are a softer pastry filled with vanilla or chocolate cream and are a very large bite size or 2 bites if you don't want to overfill your mouth. We grabbed a 24 box of mixed mini stuffies to share with the family thinking it would be something like timbits but they are much more filling and 2-3 each would have be more than sufficient. We found the menu screen changed quickly so it took us awhile to decide which flavor of icecream we wanted.
It 5 minutes for the guy to notice us since he was on his phone and airpods. I want to order ham and cheese but the guy just want me to pick for the 4 flavour he already cook.
Do not get the 'ice cream'. I really wanted to like this since I've had something similar in Seoul, but so many missteps here with what they offer. What is that 'ice cream'? it looks like cold lotion, it's so off-putting that I scooped all the 'ice cream' out so I can try the pastry. Pastry was okay, had a nice flavor to it but it was quite dense and dry I guess if I managed to stomach the ice cream that would have helped with the dryness. Will try the other things they offer in the future.
