Story

Studio 21 Fine Art has exhibited the best contemporary Canadian art for 30 years, providing artwork to private and corporate collectors locally and internationally. Located near the NSCAD University Port Campus, Nova Scotia Centre for Craft & Design, and the Farmers’ Market, it is in the heart of Halifax's new cultural mecca.

Studio 21 is known for our support of practicing artists, aspiring artists, and for being an educational resource for the visiting public.

This is a fantastic art gallery. From the moment you walk in the door and you are greeted by the knowledgable and professional staff (plus the dynamic and dynamite owner :-) to the mind boggling wonderful "assault on your senses" from the beautiful art, the expertly curated collections and spectacular shows...well, you simply just want to stay there. Never leave. And to make up for the fact that this is an art gallery and not a hotel...well... you simply must purchase and take home a piece or two. I have done exactly that and my collection boasts of many of Studio 21's talented artists. Oh did I mention that on top of the staff being very well informed and helpful, from the owner onward to everyone working there, the down-home friendly, warm atmosphere lets one know that one truly IS in the finest place on the planet: Atlantic Canada.

Studio 21 is a beautiful gallery, with professional, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. I have found the gallery to be a sanctuary in downtown Halifax, and a treasure trove of Canadian art. Their collection is vast and varied, and they are committed to supporting contemporary Canadian artists. If you haven't had the chance to visit Studio 21, I highly recommend dropping in - not only for the art, but for the beautiful space, and the friendly faces.

Studio 21 represents a diverse and thoughtful selection of artists. Ask the staff to tell you about some of the pieces and their providence and you'll surely be treated to a warm and affectionate description of the artist, as well as a deep understanding of the intention behind the piece. Absolutely worth a visit.

Truly an outstanding collection of art that will appeal to any taste. Whether you are a first time buyer, or a seasoned art collector, you are sure to find something that speaks to you. Not to mention the beautiful, airy and light filled space that is both inviting and inspiring. Will be back again very soon to find that special something, and to feel the good vibes.

Lots of fantastic art on display and for sale. The staff are very personable and passionate about art. I would recommend this gallery to anyone!
