Trevor is amazing, I brought an expensive Telecaster that really wasn't set up well at all and had a couple of busing/dead strings. Trevor made it play the way a guitar that costs that much should. He took a brand new guitar and simultaneously had it feeling both broken-in in the best way and brand new compared to how it felt when I bought it. The guy knows his stuff, he really really does. And while that does set him a part, the thing that really makes him unique are his ethics with respect to his work and the service he provides. You will not be getting a careless, slap-dash "going through the motions" set up here. Trevor will make sure your instrument plays to the standards he sets for his own instruments, which is in my experience, quite high. Which makes sense given the breadth of his knowledge and skill when it comes to guitar repair. Also I had a really great time just hanging out and talking music, the man is a font of knowledge and I highly, highly recommend him to anyone who has a guitar that needs servicing.
Five stars don’t do justice for the amazing work Trevor did. From communication, service quality, to punctuality and quick turn around. I had little hopes on this guitar I brought in for repair as it seemed broken and unplayable, but Trevor brought it back to life in many aspects for a very very reasonable price for the excellent quality of the work. Guitar feels and sounds amazing! Thanks again!!
Trevor did an excellent job repairing my husband's guitar. It had several cracks and broken nut among other things that needed fixing. Trevor was really good with communication, responding to all my emails and texts, and provided a very clear quote in advance. In the end, I was really pleased with the final product and so was my husband! I will definitely refer him to anyone I know who needs some guitar repairs.
Trevor's friendliness and down to earth nature is only surpassed by his expertise in guitars - I brought my Strat in to get it setup and ended up learning a lot through our chat. He even fixed one of the strap buttons that I hadn't noticed was loose and would've probably come out on stage. Fair pricing, quick turnaround, and great service.
Trevor is an extremely passionate guy who clearly loves music and is a skilled luthier. I brought in a vintage 1959 j45, and he took great care of it. Highly recommend him if you need any repair job or setup. Thanks Trevor!
I highly recommend Trevor’s service. He treated me and my instrument with respect, and took the time to do the job right. As a beginner, I learned a lot from him - he’s knowledgeable and a genuinely great guy who seems to love what he does. So happy to have come across his path.
Trevor is the nicest guy and is amazing at what he does. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful and is a master when it comes to all things guitar related.
. That I'm lucky enough to own and play a number of higher end guitars. While there are a number of great shops around our city . This small one man shop does wonders. I travel across the city to take every guitar I own to him. His set up rates are more then reasonable and I'm beyond thankful that he not only takes care of all my guitars. He is also a very kind person. Really knows his stuff and clearly loves working on guitars. If you haven't been to him. I highly recommend you do.
Trevor fixed some minor fret buzz, but the real 5-star part of this repair was that, at my request, he took the time to walk me through all aspects of the repair, discussing different approaches, measurements, and tools. It was a great way to spend the afternoon, and to talk about the different guitars he's worked on, his enjoyment of providing the service to his clients, and how he came by his craft. If I had a more serious problem with the guitar I don't doubt that he'd be able to tackle it with the same attention. My guitar sounds fantastic again and I have more of an idea about how to care for it going forward. Thank you, Trevor! jz
I had a guitar I needed for a upcoming gig and tried installing my own pickups, and couldn't figure out a grounding issue I had. I spent hours and hours and brought it to Trevor finally, who graciously saw me on short notice, and he had the new emgs working perfectly in minutes. A quick setup right after and I was on my way, super super happy with this gentleman and will be bringing all my guitars here going forward.
