I took my Class 5 road test at the Strathcona Registry recently. There was a scheduling mix up but everyone was very polite and communicated with me clearly. My road test examiner was very clear, calm, gave instructions with adequate lead time and also explained my test results in detail. She also took the challenging road conditions - deep, slippery ruts on some residential roads with mini snow banks spilling over the curb and other spots with plowed piles obscuring vision - into account nicely. Thanks so much for all your help.
I recently took my Class 5 driver’s test, and the experience was extremely disappointing due to the examiner ID 13680. The examiner was rude, and his instructions were unclear—his poor communication skills made it hard for me to understand what he was saying. During one of the right turns he told me to turn right at the very last moment, and at that time he was responsible for obstructing the traffic, he was busy with his phone.nnI made a few minor mistakes during the test, but I was unfairly given 30 points for supposedly not performing shoulder checks, which I know I did. He gave direct fail for obstructing traffic but I entered the one-way main road by doing a left turn when it was safe, it took a little while but the cars were coming to the lane where I was supposed to turn.nnI’ve been driving for the past three years, I went to Banff and Jasper with my foreign license without any violations, so I’m confident in my driving habits. Later I passed with only 5 points in this registry with a different examiner ID: 14001 that showed my skills. This examiner had excellent attitude.nnAfter reading other reviews, I noticed that this same examiner ID 13680 has failed other students and gave points for similar ‘shoulder check’ mistakes. I would have rated the overall service five stars, but I could not because of this examiner.nnI strongly believe the registry should look into this matter, as such behavior and inconsistencies in evaluations are unacceptable.

I came in with a friend on a rushed basis. Sukhman’s customer service was impeccable! We left with smiles on our faces, a new license and a great picture!
I took my road test at strathcona registry on November 30,2024...and let me tell you it was a very good experience.nI had to wait a little for 20 min till the rental car arrived as it was out on the road taking other person's test.nThe road test went so well the examiner lady 14324 was so good,she explained me everything before the test started and then throughout my test she was very calm and professional let me tell you the weather was not so good as it had snowed all night the previous night and I got little nervous but the examiner gave me confidence that I can do it.nIf you get the examiner14324 you should also have a pleasant experience as she was a very nice lady.nnThank you@Strathcona Registry for making my experience so smooth.
