Absolutely love this library! The staff are super friendly to us, very helpful and had great recommendations for kids. I think we sometimes forget how expensive books can be - one book a week for a year adds up! Our library cards are free, we always leave with great books in our hands and it's a wonderful place for kids to be and learn. Highly recommend this library!

My place of peace. Very quiet, good collection of books, magazines, latest movies. And staff always ready to help. Large underground parking lot with two hours free parking.

Loudest library ever. Kids always screaming downstairs, people come to just visit and hangout, people come in and talk very loudly and none of the staff ask them to quiet down. Studying is a no go

The library is top notch. Sherwood Park has done a great job with this public service. My kid loves it.

Strathcona County Library has : Free library cards, free parking, delicious cafe, huge clean space, kids area separate from adult study areas, stairs and elevators, friendly staff, plenty of clean washrooms, fireplace, private study rooms, free resume copies, free computer use throughout, ample seating, teen programs, free workshops and clearly marked facilities. From the free underground parking ( much more appreciated in winter) to the cozy fireplace up on the second floor, there are plenty of little nooks and crannies to get lost in with a book. My favourite thing to do is grab a delicious latte from vickys cafe and sit up by the fireplace with a large stack of books. On their website and guidebook is a comprehensive list of all the great events and classes being held. Most are free. Also, white boards and chalk boards are located around the library to remind you in case you leave your guide behind. The staff are very knowledgable too and happy to point you in the right direction. When I bring my children, my 13 year old cruises the Large Anime and cookbook section while my 4 year old and I make friends over by the gorgeous story tree in the kids area. Plenty of places to sit and have a coffee while your kids mingle. The board books are right their fingertips and in low shelving. Garbage cans, washrooms and water fountains are clearly marked and visible but tucked away. My 4 year loves to hear me play in the puppet theatre. More discovery can be had over by the computers and to the far north of this floor where an interactive smart floor is installed. Upstairs you can study and work on the computer in peace. Plenty of seating available. Bonus: stand and Overlook sherwood park through large picture windows, it does wonders to clear your thinking. The cook book and craft book section is the largest I've ever seen and I can spend a solid hour there alone. Great selection of magazines up here and fun spots to sit alone and people watch as you overlook the entrance below. Much more to boast about here it come see for yourself
