Strait Area Women’s Place

About

The Strait Area Women's Place welcomes women, adolescent girls from all cultures and backgrounds.
It is a friendly and safe place for women to access support, to meet new friends, share knowledge, to access information, and to work on common interests.

Story

We welcome women from from the wider Strait area, women from different community organizations and groups, educators, and students from our local high schools, community college, and universities.

Women's place services include: Information, one-to-one problem solving and emotional support, advocacy, accompaniment to court (or other legal or medical appointments), referrals, and a wide array of programming in collaboration with Public Health and Addiction Services.

You do not need a reason to visit!!! We are a drop in center, so come by for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

We believe women are experts of their own lives. The Strait Area Women's Place can provide you with information and support so you can be more informed.
