If you have the chance to see Dr. Turner she is AMAZING. Im going to preface this with i have extreme social anxiety and calling the office is something i have to work myself up to do. So I called, and Had a particularly poor experience with a receptionist over the phone. She asked questions, and I quote, such as "you can't come in because you live in Kitchener? How do you get to your other appointments then?" And "you should've called at lunch, not at 10 after 4." I did call, they were, you guessed it, on lunch. As well as, "how do you expect the doctor to fill out a form he doesn't have" I submitted it through their online submission service to be signed and sent back to me. When the call ended I said thanks for your help, and she hung up. Not the first time, but definitely the worst time with their reception. The doctors are incredible. I love the nurses. But the receptionists need to learn a thing or two. I wasn't even kind of rude. I just wanted my form filled out : now I never want to call again
By far the worst doctors office you could go to. At first I loved my doctor but I only got to meet with her once 4 years ago when I switched to this office. Since then I have not been able to get a single appointment with her. Not only can you not see your doctor but when you phone the office be prepared to be on the phone waiting for about an hour to speak to a living person. Lastly I came in the office 3 months pregnant for an urgent appointment where they made out a prescription which the doctor said would be sent to my pharmacy right away. Only when i got to the pharmacy after work i found out it had not been sent. The next day I spent another hour trying to get in touch with a person only to have the receptionist promise my prescription would be sent today and had no reasoning as to why it wasn't sent the first time. Keep in mind if this isn't taken my pregnancy could be affected. I get to the pharmacy a second time to have it yet again not be there. Now I without my important medication for an entire weekend because this office is incompetent of sending a single fax. The doctors here don't care whether you get well or not as long as they make their money. I advise new comers to try any other office first.
I've been going to this Clinic for over 15 years now and I just wanted to say I've had nothing but the best experiences and the best care possible. I am a patient of Dr. Ivanyi and she is the most down to Earth, caring physician. Full attention and eye contact always. Very personable. As are the other physicians, residents, nursing staff and clerical staff I've ever dealt with. Always helpful and pleasant.
I have been a patient at this clinic for roughly 5 years. My last appointment sent me into having a panic attack right in the office. I arrived 20 minutes early as usual for my appt at 2:15. At 2:35 I’m finally admitted and before the doctor introduces herself or even says hello, she rudely tells me “you’re late”. How is that possible when the patient is called in by reception? When I went to get assistance, the British receptionist completely washed over my experience I told them I would appreciate seeing someone else as this was a mental health appt and I needed a trustworthy connection. and says to me “well you should still see her, she’s actually a very nice doctor”. That’s great if that is your experience with her but that was not mine. I have always been treated with kindness at this clinic besides this time, and I was lucky to have one receptionist who was paying attention who actually vouched for me, the patient. If it weren’t for the kindness of the other staff I don’t know how that would have ended for me. I was lucky to end up seeing a different doctor who empathized with my situation and did a great job of care.
This is a very nice medical clinic and Dr. K. Shah is an awesome doctor as my parents go to her. However, every time I try to call and make an appointment for my parents I can never get through to the reception area. I am usually on hold for more than 15 minutes and give up after that. I end up driving to the clinic to make an appointment for my parents. .There are usually 5 or more ladies working in the reception area so I'm not sure why I can't get through.
Our 4 week old baby was congested but would be fine while feeding so we took him to get checked before it got any worst, he had his oxygen saturation and vitals checked when we arrived. Their equipment was inadequate and did not get a proper reading, it had shown 77% oxygen saturation and they ultimately decided that we should drive to McMaster and provided us with a note to take. The staff at McMaster were appalled that the doctors office chose not to call us an ambulance, or advise us to call one, or even call them ahead of time considering how low his oxygen saturation was. At McMaster, they rechecked his vitals and his oxygen saturation was 98%-100% which was relieving. If the doctors office truly believed his oxygen was so low, it was negligent for them not to call emergency services. We decided to post this review so future other patients did not find themselves in a potentially dangerous situation.
If you get lucky enough to get through on the phone, you'll most likely be told to just "go to an ER instead" Not sure why they're wait times are so long when they refuse to see any patients and just pass the problem along to someone else. This is why our hospitals are over run! Doctor offices that don't want to do they're job!
I don’t often write reviews but after my experience this week I have to say their reception is terrible. I was literally hung up on after trying to book an appointment this whole week. I do not recommend this place. The staff is rude and condescending.
Been going here for 30 years and unfortunately it has declined. Family doctors are randomized and the phones lines have just gotten worse over time. Simple things like getting a prescription have just gotten harder and taken longer. Friendly staff help in person but it takes forever to actually deal with someone including the doctors.
Dr. Nantes took over Dr. Thompson’s practice a few years ago. I to this day have never met her. When I call because I found a lump on my breast I saw a student, when I was diagnosed with cancer she did not even have the decency to tell me. She left that up to a student. There was absolutely no follow up with her. Till this day she has still not talked to me.
