Awesome spot back in the woods of Paul Bunyan state forest! Lots of local history on the walls. Great spot for bikers, motox, snowmobiles and accommodation for helmets! The grounds have room for camping and access to public trails.
What a great experience; roll up hungry on a dirt bike and park and inside is cold beer and hot food. The hog wild sandwich is the best. Service was wonderful and other customers were a bunch of fun.
Everybody at this bar was amazing! 14 of us showed up and it was just a single bartender in a quiet place. Without fret he was ready to serve the group and was a great person to be around. He turned up the music and grabbed us all drinks. Everyone was ordering food as more people began to come in. I thought for sure panic would set in, as we began to order food his Mom showed up ready to cook! She was amazing!! WöW! The best burger I have had in a long time! I highly recommend the stompin' burger. Everyone was raving about it... maybe I should have ordered it. Next time. The owner SteveDad showed up too just to say hi to everyone. Very personable. All in all, this bar is tucked away and is a little hidden gem. If you are close by or looking for a campsite, this is a must visit location. Thank you Everyone for the great night. I will be back. By the end of diner the place was full of guests eating and enjoying their stay.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The Good: Great food. Nice facilities. Close to trails. Decent setup as far as parking with trailers, even one spot in the tent section. Wash station for bikes/atv not power wash The Bad: - Made reservation in May. Visited two weeks prior to reservation and verified with owner. Was told everything was good and even upgraded to another spot with electric free of charge which was nice of them. I arrive and nothing was in the computer. Zero notes. Took almost an hour to sort out. Didn't receive the powered spot, as the lady wanted the full price. -Charged for shower house, which I have never heard of. -Cannot bring own firewood Purchased at the gas station prior to arrival, still in my truck. The Ugly - Accosted by another camper at 845 on my last day, telling me I was in his spot. I was packing up, but check out wasn't until 1100. The other camper was adamant that he needed to get set up and I had to leave. To prevent an incident, I pulled out to the staging area and finished packing. - For the record, guy had a Sprinter motorhome and flatbed. Good luck on getting it down in the spot. I was at max length with a CCSB and 6x12 cargo without blocking the road. I wonder why he wasn't up with the other RVs?
Love this place. Good food, drinks, and right on the trails. Been here many times.Food: 5/5
Great food, fast service. The food temperature was good and hot and everything was tasty. We had cheese curds 2days. which are the best. Very good fountain Coke products. Saturday I had a California Cheeseburger with raw onions and Sunday I had a bacon cheeseburger. Riding friend had chicken fingers Sunday and french fries, I had Onion rings. Sides portions are generous so I recommend you order one side per person and share different side items.
This is a community of riders. Whether it be side-by-side, Razors, 4-wheelers, or dirt bikes. Everyone is friendly and respectful, including the staff. Food was delish. And the beer was cold, what more could you ask. Will be coming back here a lot in the future. Kid-friendliness: There are the cutest and well behaved children here. We've seen the tiniest of children on their own dirt bikes and wheelies, so cute! Parking: Parking is excellent. People that come here know the ropes. Parking is spacious so there is no confusion as to where park you're vehicles and trailers, just look around and see what and where others have parked. Access to come and go is uncomplicated and people are very friendly and curious.
Drove out from Idaho to see what Midwest single track is about. The owners Steve, Connie and Derek are great. They ride regularly and are a valuable source of information on the trails. Great food, great people and great times. Sarah and I plan on coming back as soon as we can.
I was there like three weeks ago with my friend , and his mom. They both ordered the ribs was ice cold the person said we can heat them up. I said I don’t want them in a microwave. I don’t understand when you have ribs as a special they should be in a warmer to stay hot. I’m glad I didn’t get them I wouldn’t have been quite about it
Great small town atmosphere. Only had an appetizer but the service was great and convenient to have next to trail! Updated: we had early supper with 2 of our girls after our ride. Food was good. Service was good.
