Very rude front end staff. Love my dr and that is the only reason I stay with them. I Do phone call appts as I am a hour away, and majority of the time I am at work when My phone appt is scheduled. Where I work clearview red deer there are no phone towers so it is very hit & miss service, so I asked the front receptionist to call my work which is a spa and salon and she laughed at me and said no. I had to explain again 2 more times that i will be the one answering it will just come through as the spas name. Very rude for such a simple question.
i am underweight, and my cycles are very affected by this. I went in to see if they could offer any solution to gain weight or legitimately anything to help. The doctor literally told me to eat more macdonalds... Super helpful and inciteful :/
So far my experience has been good. They seem organized, though things get a little busy. Some of these reviews seem extremely unfair, giving a 1 star review when your issues happened at the hospital? Or giving a negative review when youve actually not been to the clinic or had an appointment? I would say that my appointment times have been swift and I have gotten help from the doctor and my concerns have been taken seriously.
I'm not angry, I don't expect everything to run perfectly and on time. I was not treated poorly by the support staff there and I do understand that rural doctors are often taking on heavier loads with limited alternatives in rural areas. I booked an apt with Dr Agwaze as he was the Doctor with a slot available the soonest. After waiting 30m past my appointment I approached one of the staff members they were all very kind and just asked for an ETA. I was told it would be a minimum of an additional 30-45m. I assumed it had been "one of those days" and asked if this was normal and was told that this is absolutely normal, and that if I wanted to have my appointment closer to my actual scheduled time I should book for 9am or 1pm neither of which works with my work schedule. It was explained that this is the way Dr. Agwaze has them schedule his appointments. I have lived in rural communities a very very long time, and normally the doctor's are far more respectful of their patients. This being the "norm" for this Doctor really gives off an aire of self centered-ness. I will be using Doctor's in Red Deer from now on.
The person answering the phone has no business answering the phone She is short, abrupt, but worse than that she makes no effort to help a person get what they need. They don't like getting called several times in a short time frame. But it gets things happening!!!! Be polite, don,t yell or swear, and you will eventually get action about call 4 or 5.
My mom has many diseases and since I had my son I've been having similar symptoms to her crohn's food allergies. Alot of family history with pcos, diabetes and cancerous cysts I came to this clinic seeking help . Seeking them to actually help me and do their job. But they can't even do that they would rather judge me and be rude to me.. cant even find a new doctor right now I want to give up!
I would not have even given this place one star!!! But was forced, to allow me to express my dismay of this incompetent Clinic. I understand all have a bad day, however after living here for 10 years and again been forced to go to the emergency because there is a three week to a month wait to see Your Dr. You are told by the nurses at the medical office that they can't squeeze you in and go to Emergency.. Once you get to Emergency I have been yelled at for using it for a non emergency illness..before even checking me over! How can they make this assumption? Like I said before I have lived here for 10 years and during these years have had to use and have stayed in the hospital as a patient as well.Not all treatment was bad of course, but I can honestly say 80% was terrible... But the last encounter was the last straw!!! I went to Emergency with bad abdominal pain... Very bad pain... And was told I had the flu bug that was going around and sent home ... Only to wake up that night screaming in unbearable pain... My fiancé called the ambulance.. I was rushed to Red Deer Hospital.. I almost died because my appendix had ruptured... Why did they not check for this when I suggested .. But no I had the flu bug!!! So be very leery next time you go and are sent away... Your life may depend on this... Trust me... Now healed and well .....thank the Lord, I will be writing some letters and making some calls.... Just because they are Doctor's does not exempt them from a slap on the hands or worse... STETTLER HOSPITAL NEVER AGAIN!!!! AND I TOTALLY AM HOLDING THE DRS AT THIS CLINIC WHO MORE THAN OVERBOOK ,TO BLAME FOR ALL OF THIS!!! A HUGE MEDICAL REVIEW SHOULD BE DONE BY ALBERTA HEALTH CARE REPS... To all Dr's, clinics, and the hospital... As Stettler medical is known as the worse... It's not a secret.. Everyone talks about it... Stettler is such a wonderful community it's a crying shame the medical league is less then unaccepted and despicable !!!! LIVES MATTER!
This place is awful, they kicked my very sick grandmother out, and they were very disrespectful of her and wouldn’t allow her to continue to receive her medical needs from this location, or anywhere in this town. They then proceeded to tell me and her daughter how she was abusive to the people around her in this clinic, which is inaccurate as we went in and tried to figure it a way for her to attain her prescriptions and the people working at the clinic were very aggressive and rude to us, even though we were calm through the entire procedure upsetting as it was.
Trying this week to contact the clinic. Keep getting a message saying closed all Stat holidays. Will I now be charged for failure to make appointment? And how can I rebook? Terrible set up.
Addiction and mental health services are what was expected. The councilor I spoke with scale across as though he actually cared.!
