We came here with my mom when she was visiting from out of town. It was my first time but my boyfriend used to come here with a group of nurses after work. The service was attentive and quick. I ordered the turkey club and a bowl of split pea soup. My mom ordered the eggs and salsa and my boyfriend ordered a skillet with poached eggs. All the food came out hot and fresh and quick. It was delicious. Sitting in the window, it was fun to people watch the crowd outside passing by. Yummy food, very popular and busy, definitely will return!
Incredibly friendly staff, fast service, comfy and cozy, it scratched an itch that only a diner really can. We only wanted a snack, so a Friend of mine got try French onion soup for the first time and they really enjoyed it. I also really enjoyed these weird things called spinach swirls. Never heard of them before today but they were tasty. Big menu, lots to choose from, I imagine the dinner rush at this place might be a little nuts though. Will be back for the shakes and burgers.
I love this corner diner that has been a staple in Lakeview since as long as I can remember. To me, a classic American diner serving up breakfast, burgers, club sandwiches, salads, and smothered skirt steaks with love. And one can enjoy a milkshake or slice of cake too! Whatever the appetite, Stella's offers that nostalgic and authentic diner experience that is truly Chicago. Also, love the window booths to people watch!
What a great find and only 1760 miles away from Las Vegas. A real diner with booths and a counter. An excellent Feta Cheese, Tomato and Onion Omelette with fresh, not frozen, edible hash browns. I don't care for hash browns but this was good. 5 Stars to the wait staff as well.
Stella's is OK. Not bad, not great. Since Gus moved and then passed, and the family sold it, the place has changed. There's less care with the food and the atmosphere. It's not bad, it's just not what it once was. The potatoes were undercooked, the eggs were good, the bacon floppy today. Service varies but I had a friendly server.
Pretty good spot with a lot of options. Found it kind of weird I couldn't order an egg and toast on the side of my French toast. The only option the waitress gave was to add the "two eggs any way" with hashbrowns for $10. Also the waitress asked me to pay from her handheld device without showing me the bill and I always find it incredibly awkward putting in a tip as they stand there watching you.
This has been our favorite neighborhood place for 14 years. We come here when we need to feel like we are home. Every big decision, broken heart, hard day is all made better here. It feels like eating at a loved one's house in the best way possible. The food is incredible no matter what you order. We have out of town guests that ask to come here more than once a trip when visiting. It's fabulous!
I feel compared to other diners that I have been to they had lesser options for brunch. Food is satisfactory.I was expecting a swap for the usual toast with pancakes which is allowed in most of the places for a brunch item.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
Great spot for breakfast. Generous helpings! We didn't have a long wait to be seated but ticket time was very slow. Scan to order menu.Food: 5/5
So we originally were going to a taco spot we found nearby but it was closed. As we are walking back towards where we parked my sister saw this diner and wanted to go. It was a great decision. The staff was so sweet. As I was telling them to pack our order up since they were about to close and my parking was about to be up, they nudged me to go and pay for more parking so I can enjoy the meal there. The staff was personable, kind and just accommodating. The food was amazing too, I had the quesadilla burger and it was perfect.
