I arrived rather hungry, and I liked the clean, modern ambiance. The staff was efficient - but the service faded over time. For a steakhouse, I am rather disappointed in the cuts served. The food lacked flavour, and the meat was unevenly cooked - it hit all ranges, from rare to well done. The shoestring fries were enjoyable however. The wine was fantastic and so was the company... then again, it is bring your own wine and bring your own company. Maybe that's all that's needed.
Even before entering the restaurant I had a great feeling about the place. Upon entering we had a very friendly greeting and were seated at a table in no time. Even though it was a busy evening the service and food were great. Our server was great guiding me through the menu and helping me order as I know very little French. When the food arrived the presentation was great, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great. I look forward to my next opportunity to eat here when I visit Montreal again.
One of my favourite spots in Montreal. I love the chicken stuffed with duck. The staff are very friendly and accommodating when you bring your own wine.
We ate there on a warm Friday evening last week. Had a very pleasurable experience. It is a bit noisy inside the restaurant but the host, waiters and staff were fantastic. The food delicious. We had an appetizer, fried calamari, it was a huge platter and delicious. Bread was brought to our table as well as a nice big salad and they serve their beverages from a bottle not mixed fountain drinks, so you are getting the real thing. The host and waiters were very attentive, the food fantastic.
Nice place to go to while your in Montreal around gay village.
The ambiance is nice. Nice modern layout and lighting. Wait staff are polite. We were a large group, and had to repeatedly get up to get the waiter to be served, although he was nice. I shared two main plates with a friend. The salmon was good, but the steak flank not so much. We asked for medium rare and the steak was raw on the inside. That was a bit disappointing. I rated it two stars because for the price, I think there are many other great steak places worth my money. As well, they charged 1.50$ for sauces that accompanied the steak flank, but didn't mention there was a charge. It's sort of an integral part of the plate so charging for it is ridiculous.
Nice ambiance, great service and good food
I thought this place was really nice... My steak was good and the food was hearty and cooked well. The bring your own bottle threw me at first, but there are plenty of corner shops who sell bottles around. The waiter was very good looking and switched from English to French with ease for our convenience.
great food, good environment, had a good meal and enjoyed myself a lot. the restaurant offers bring your own wine which is an excellent value add. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes steak and is going out in the Montréal village
The rating is for the service only. The calamari was sub-par, the salad entree tepid, and the bavette of beef, on the verge of turning. My piece of meat was not fresh. Probably the worst steakhouse food I’ve ever experienced. It’s now official - there are no longer good restaurants in the Village.
