Story

For over 30 years Stavro’s Sports Bar & Lounge has been, and continues to be, a cornerstone in the Calgary community. Located in the heart of the North, Stavro’s is an authentic sports bar providing outstanding service, excellent food, great company and the perfect atmosphere for every fan and every sport.

We offer a comfortable, casual environment to watch any sporting event. With 17 flat screen TV’s and 6 video feeds there is no such thing as a bad seat in our house, and you won’t miss a moment of the action! Stavro’s is your destination on game day where the game is always on and the beer is always flowing!

We came across this establishment during the NHL Playoffs. It was the battle of alberta. We weren't having luck finding any pubs that had room for our party. So happy we came across this one. The prices for the food is very cheap. The portions were huge and very delicious. The wings were very good and the rest of the party said their food was excellent. Our server was very friendly and was so funny. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to watch a game! Good food, cheap and awesome atmosphere.
Was craving pizza, they offer 25% off on Sunday so decided to try it out....service was fantastic. Holly was all smiles and very pleasant, she made me feel very welcomed. The pizza was delicious, sauce has a little zing, not greasy, right amount of toppings....kuddos to the cooks! I never eat the crust and couldn't stop! I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. The bar itself had a very comfortable vibe, especially for mature people. Parking: Large parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs
Laid back neighborhood pub. Went for the Wednesday steak special which included a 5 oz. Steak, fries, and 2 pieces of garlic toast. Steak was on the tougher side but what do you expect for $11. Would come back to try their other specials $9 pasta Monday, $0.50 wing nights, fish and chip night.
The location was not a good advertise area for example it is not appealing from viewing outside. But when you walk in it is a very nice Sport Bar. It has pool tables and good varieties of tables to sit. It is a clean bar very busy. The girls work here a very busy so is hard to get their attention but our waitress is very nice and generous. She gave us some good recommendation we went for calamari and pizza. The calamari was very season well and crispy very good. The pizza is very good too I'll recommend go for the specialized Pizza such as Stavros special. The topping is very generous and it is not over top. This sport for a have daily specials so definitely go for the days you want to try the food out such as half price Pizza on Sunday or $7 for steak sandwich on Wednesdays. Does remind me of Cheers you can say... your are neighborhood Sports Bar.
good food but the blonde lady server is rude to people who don’t drink alcohol. we got lots of food and my husband got alcoholic drinks but i’m pregnant so i just got a regular drink. She singled me out and was snarky towards me. a good server acknowledges the woman not just the man. the man isn’t always paying.
Moose the boss there is a great man. It was my wife’s birthday today and since we are recurring customers for nine years now, He wouldn’t let us pay for our bill. It’s the small things that count. Thank you for your awesome food and service. See you soon!
What a great pub! The food is really tasty and the service is great. Plus they have Goose Island IPA on tap! It's delicious! We live super close to here and will be back pretty frequently. The only small qualm I have is that it is a little on the pricey side of average, but people have to make a living! Great atmosphere too.
A dark and calm pub when I went in the late afternoon. Decided I wanted the pasta special that day and was greeted with polite staff. Enjoyed my Alfredo pasta and didn't wait to long for it either.Food: 5/5
