So yummy! We tried something savoury and something sweet to see how each paired with the waffles and we had no complaints! I went with the waffle Benny and then we finished it off with a Strawberry n’ Banana dish. I also had their hot chocolate and it was simply delicious! The atmosphere is fun and there are beautiful works of art done locally on their walls which is always fun to view. The staff is inviting and they take care of you! Would come here again for brunch.
Got the eggs Benny and I absolutely loved it! I loved the contrast of the sweetness of the waffles and the savoury taste of the eggs Benny, bacon, potato salad and leafy green salad too.nnThe service was excellent and staff were very sweet and attentive.very welcoming atmosphere too.nnWill definitely be coming back again in the near future.
Love the waffle Benny, bacon and waffle is great as well. Portion just right for food, coffee can be a bigger cup. Cappuccino has the best foam!!nLove the idea to have artists to display their works in the restaurant
Me and my girls came here on a Sunday for brunch so it was pretty packed they do walk-in only, no resos.nnWe started with their Iced Lattes I added hazelnut syrup & my girl added caramel syrup & the Nutella Latte. Their lattes were amazing - not too sweet & good amount of milkyness although I found the Nutella latte quite sweet which is expected for anything Nutella. I liked that you could get any of the espresso drinks iced w exception of the cappuccino.nnWe each got their benedict waffles. I got their Sausage Benny a new item w pork sausage patty’s on one regular waffle & one potato waffle, w a side of fruit salad & mixed greens. I liked the option of trying both waffles and they were both great. The potato waffle is very filling but tasty - I wish it was more of a hashbrown crunchy potato waffle, instead it was a more ‘fluffy’ potato waffle. The mixed greens were whatever and the fruits were out of season but I liked the variety they provided. The hollandaise sauce on the bennies are soo good though & my eggs were cooked perfectly.nnOne of my girls ordered the Halloumi benny on both potato waffles w a side of potato salad & mixed greens. The potato salad was good. The only downside to this benny was that the halloumi was cut pretty thin so you couldn’t taste it in the overall bite. This was the reason along w the fruits for the 4/5 stars for the food.nnOverall the food was good, atmosphere was cosy, and staff was attentive. I’d come here again for brunch.
Starving Artist Markham has become somewhat of a culinary haven for me, and my recent visit with my boyfriend only reaffirmed why I keep coming back for more!nnTo start off our morning on a delightful note, I opted for the vanilla almond latte, while my boyfriend went for the classic latte. Not only were the coffees expertly brewed, but the latte art was also a charming touch that brought smiles to our faces. Plus, the flavours were on point, making it the perfect fuel for our waffle-filled adventure.nnSpeaking of waffles, we dove into our respective Benny creations with gusto. I opted for the Sammy Benny, featuring poached eggs delicately perched atop fluffy waffles, adorned with smoked salmon and a decadent hollandaise sauce. Each bite was a symphony of flavours, with the richness of the salmon beautifully complementing the velvety hollandaise.nnMeanwhile, my boyfriend savoured every bite of his Sausage Benny, showcasing poached eggs nestled on potato waffles, crowned with sausage and the same luscious hollandaise sauce. The combination of savoury and sweet was a true winner, leaving us both thoroughly satisfied.nnTo round out our meal, I indulged in a side of fruit salad, while my boyfriend opted for the potato salad. Both sides were fresh, flavorful additions that enhanced our dining experience.nnNevertheless, Starving Artist Markham continues to impress with its innovative waffle creations and cozy atmosphere. It's a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars from us, and we'll definitely be back for more waffle wonders in the future!
