Just a heads up, if you ever go in to ER, the expected wait time is 6+ hours, i had asthma, sore throat and consistent cough and went to ER, I waited from 8pm to next day 4am just to listen for doctor’s few words, lucky the people who waited ahead of me all left because the excessive long wait time, otherwise it would be way longer… this hospital should earn a Guinness world record of longest ER waiting time champion.
Waiting time are high, makes you more sick. Only one doctor and 3 nurses .
Had day surgery. All admin, nurses and doctors very caring and welcoming. I felt very safe and listened to. A smile from the staff goes a long way when your far from home in unfamiliar place. Keep up the good work.
It's awesome you don't have to pay for parking. Wait time in emerge was a bit long, we got here around 9AM and at 2:30PM so coming up on six hours and we haven't been to xray yet. The lady at triage was rude. When we went up to the window she just snapped at us to go sit down because they were busy with another patient. She didnt take our name or ask what had happened anything at all so not sure how they keep track of who is waiting or how severe their injuries are.
All the staff, nurses, and doctors were incredibly kind and helpful. I felt very well taken care of while I was in the hospital. There is no cost for parking, which was wonderful since I was there nearly a week.
Don't come here alive. Cuz you gonna wait till your dead. Forever waiting at emergency . Everyone taking it pretty easy. No rush anywhere around here. Security guards at the doors are pretty annoying. Can clearly tell they failed the cops school. Be ready to wait 6+ hours just because staff feel for it and too busy chatting with each others. And funniest part is , after 6 hours of waiting, I got told that I should go to clinic another day since they are too busy doing nothing. If I could put zero star I would
Been staying here about a week as a medical escort for my mother. We are in from Inuvik. The hospital is beautiful. Very modern and clean feeling. The cafeteria is the worst tho. The food is mediocre and overpriced. I was hit with a $20.50 bill for a couple small pieces of chicken and some cabbage rolls. Holy mackerel. The morning cafeteria lady is rude and inconsistent. My mother wanted a tea bag to take back to the room for later, she was charged over $4 and paid it without thinking. She mentioned it to me and when I asked the caf lady why a tea bag was so expensive I was informed she was charged for a second coffee because I topped mine off before I left the dining area. In her eyes a quick squirt of coffee warrented a full charge for refill. Trying to get condements is like pulling teeth. God forbid u want a second packet of ketchup.
Older hospital that runs well. Emergency room definately takes a long time to be seen 2+ hours even when there are only a couple other people in the waiting room. The staff are very kind though and easy to talk to and helpful with any questions or concerns. It will be interesting to see what the new hospital will be like when it is operational.
My son has been in the hospital for close to 3 weeks and the food has been dismal to say the least. He was in when the hospital first opened and the food was pretty good then as well in the cafeteria, but now there is food that is overcooked disgusting looking and inedible. The service in the cafeteria has dropped as well since opening, this probably has to due with the company that runs the hospital being located in Toronto and everything has to go through them.
5 star experience across the board From the minute I walked in with chest pain, this brand new, beautiful hospital was firing on all cylinders. I have been to many hospitals in my day, and have never felt as comfortable and safe as in this one. From the admitting staff to Doctor Smith, thanks for the care !
