They are scam. Don't get trapped. Don't believe what their agents tell you before getting into a contract with them. Their contracts stop you from accepting a good job opportunity if the employer offers you during the contract. They won't let you go and accept any other job with the employer even after 6 months of your contract completion. However, before entering into the contract, the agents tell you that it won't be a problem at all. Would never recommend anyone to sign up with this agency. Worst experience!
Initially met "Flo" for what I thought was a formal interview. However it was just an informal chat and her telling me how great she thought my resume was. Perfect fit for a job with a great company. The only problem is she went radio silent on me about the job after contacting her and her colleagues many time. Eventually told the job had been filled. I honestly believe the job she described was not real, as the company would not deal with such unprofessional recruiters. Complete waste of time.
Unbelievably poor experience with this agency. I initially met with a recruiter named Flo Rondeaux. It was a standard, get-to-know-you type of meeting and I was initially impressed by her and the company. We kept in touch and she eventually let me know that I would be a good fit for a position with a telecom provider. She asked for a set of questions to be answered and for two references. I am hesitant to give my references unless I am sure the company is professional and the opportunity is serious, and I thought both were the case. Also, I put time and effort into customizing my CV for the job and providing comprehensive answers. A couple of weeks later, one of my references contacted me and asked if there was progress, as he had been sent a list of questions. He emailed his answers back to Flo and she didn’t bother to reply. He sent me the questions and there were SEVENTEEN in total. He was not happy by the fact the recruiter did not have the courtesy to at least acknowledge receiving the answers, let alone provide a thank you. In questioning the professionalism of the recruiter, I know he was, in his own way, also questioning my judgement. I did not hear from the other reference and did not contact him because frankly, I was embarrassed to do so. Knowing him though, he would have provided comprehensive answers also. I did not mention this matter to Flo and waited to hear from her. The next contact I had was not from Flo, but from one SI’s “Account Executives”. It was a short email giving me a standardized blurb that the role has been filled. I replied to him and cc’d Flo, saying that I went through a lengthy process and it involved two of my references, I was not even shortlisted for an interview and I should receive some feedback. He replied that he will let me know if he “hears anything”. Flo also replied, saying that she would call me the next day – I never heard from either of them after that. Some weeks later, I contacted the Managing Director and gave a thorough explanation of what happened. She replied after a week, saying she tried to call me she didn’t and she agrees references are important, she understands my concern, etc. I invited her to call me back to discuss further and of course she didn’t. I set a low bar for recruitment agencies, as I know they are focused on their corporate clients and filling an immediate role with no concern for any other matters. However, this recruitment agency’s conduct in regard to my situation was very poor. I don’t care so much about my time and efforts not amounting to any sort of feedback, but to treat a candidate’s references like that is inexcusable. References are the most important asset a job seeker has I would suggest anyone considering dealing with SI Systems to take this into account.
Have asked to be off this list 5 times. They get you to rewrite your cv then they dissappear. Their staff turnover is insanely high. Not a great advertisement for recruiting
Met with Flo Rondeaux, where she wasted both my time and my references time. Did not bother to update me on any progress, only name-dropped TELUS as their client to get me to send her my information. Unprofessional. Poor experience for S.i Systems as a whole, will not be doing business with them again.
Time wasters, they will tell you how good is your resume to completely abandon you later. P.S. I had the same experience as John Pincher a year ago.
Just to continue the series of bad experience with this agency. They seem to only hire people for the worst type of subcontracting employment for Telus. Very unprofessional.
Horrible experience with a recruiter from Germany who was a basketball coach. Not only was he unqualified, he had zero knowledge of the industry or Canadian job search. Although I was highly qualified for the role, he refused to submit my resume. It seems that recruiters want to shmooze, spend time asking useless questions, not really reading your resume or trying to understand the position they are placing.
