Popular hangout with pretty good food. We liked our appetizers much better than our meal but we hear the menu and or specials change frequently enough to always find something to enjoy. Cute ambiance, library setting with a pretty unique history of the bar. Read all about it on the drink menu! Speaking of, they do a great job making the drinks super fun with not just their names but the extras on each glass like a flamingo or cotton candy. Would definitel y go back but it would always be wise to make a reservation. We're glad we did because there appeared to be quite a wait. Bathrooms are down the hall and kinda yukky, but they obviously don't maintain them. Just a downfall of the experience. Overall we had a really good time. I think we were there for 3 hours! And they put a candle on a dessert to celebrate a birthday. I get disappointed when places do nothing for birthdays so this small gesture meant a lot! Spent about $200 before tip for 4 of us which included drinks, appetizers and meals. Very reasonable!

Even though we made a mistake we our reservation, they were happy to accommodate us after a short waiting. The server was absolutely on top of every detail. We got different dishes that were above and beyond. We got a dessert also, but it was too good that disappeared before I could take a picture of it. Awesome environment and friendly customer service. Highly recommend.

Great food, interesting drinks and variety in where you can sit.they have inside, patio and an upstairs deck. Service was great! This is a busy, popular eatery so plan accordingly. Will definitely be returning to enjoy all this place has to offer.

the food is incredible, all three floors are interesting and cozy, the drink options are vast and delicious. i really really enjoy so much about this restaurant. i want to give them five stars but the hosts/hostesses are very unpleasant every time i come here. the servers are hit or miss, some are awesome some are not friendly at all. i wish they would either train their staff on customer experience or hire more qualified people that can handle the volume they attract. this is my favorite place to eat in valpo i just wish they had nicer staff.

If you’re reading this review trying to figure out if it’s worth it, stop now. Here is your sign! They get very busy. Make reservations! There is a different menu from the rooftop and the regular dining room. The seared tuna is my all time favorite appetizer. Make sure to check the specials!

By far my favorite place to eat in all of Northwest Indiana. The food is delicious. Vibe is funky and chill. Stacks sticks alone are to die for. The weekly specials keep it interesting, different food to try each week. I love their breakfast for dinner week, the Fruity Pebble French Toast is tasty. All the workers are amazing. It’s cool to know a lot of them have been working there for over 10 years. I love the rooftop, especially during the summer.

Amazing food & drinks, atmosphere and service! Always have the best time at Stacks. You really can’t order wrong here. Tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly, Best steak tacos around, and the appetizers are to die for especially the Quail egg on a scallop over a risotto cake. YUM

Absolutely delicious food and drinks! Sat on the 3rd floor roof and it was beautiful and our waitress was really kind, gracious and efficient. I can't wait to go back

This place is absolutely fantastic! Wonderful service, wonderful food. The rooftop is absolutely gorgeous at sunset and a great place to spend to celebrate my 21st birthday! Although I had originally wanted to be downstairs to get the food they served there, the "chicken pot pie" gnocchi I had was absolutely divine and was enough for 3 meals! I wasn't the biggest fan of the drink I had which was an apple pie martini but it's just because I've realized I don't like martinis. My dad's drink though, the "chronic & tonic" not pictured was wonderful though! Perfectly sweet and refreshing. If I had an opportunity to book a spot downstairs, I would most certainly come back! Heavily recommend checking this place out!

Stacks is always a pleasant experience. Their steak is always tender, flavors are always bold, and desserts are always a great finish to the meal. On top of that, they always have great presentation! The rotating specials menu always brings in fresh new dishes to try and is such a fun addition. However. . . I can't get over how disgusting their water is. I know this is a very strange complaint, but their water always tastes like a strong, bleachy chlorine. This is the only reason I knocked off a star, as it really takes away from the dining experience. Bring your own water bottle and everything should be perfect! lol
