This is small town Saskatchewan, not exactly a high tourist area, so all things considered, it’s not so bad…. Our room was large, which is about the best thing we can say about it. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but linens and furniture are sparse and low end. There was an odd, stale smell in the room and there was food smeared in the wall by the microwave the cleaner should have caught. The location is good, in the middle of town, walking distance to everything. Check in is at the bar, which doesn’t open until 11 am or later, so there isn’t always someone available to deal with issues or requests. We did however find the staff at the restaurant very friendly and helpful in the morning. It’s nice to have an option for accommodations in a small town like this, and the price is reasonable.
Theee is a maple bug infestation and one of the bartenders lets herself into rooms with the master key. Not a safe place to stay. Fights in the bar every time One particular staff member worked. Food was over spiced.
I like their food including the deluxe cheese burger.
Only good thing was it was a large room. at first glance it looked clean other then a strong smell. unfortunately it was pretty gross. toilet struggled to flush, no water pressure in shower. coffee pot scaly and coffee packets dirty. fridge smelled and dirty and the freezer part had crumbs and hair! last but worse of all the beds didn't have clean bedding. hair on one of the wrinkles pillows and other bed had yellow stains on both the pillow case and pillow. honestly slept in my clothes. would have gone somewhere else but I was with a big group.
The workers here are some of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. And it’s not just once. It’s most times and this used to be an enjoyable spot to stop after golf... we are regulars and used to have great service but now a days it’s nothing but rudeness. Annie is the only polite one lately and that’s only 75% of the time, which is a shame because I usually love their food which is awesome. However it’s not worth it anymore.. The cook is the worst one. Always has an attitude for no reason and we’re always polite and tip...
