I don’t want to give them any stars but 1 since I want leave a comment for other people to check. First, the bagels are terrible!!! They are cold and even hard to bite OMG. Shame on you all the media that shows this bagels look great. You don’t need to make a trip to visit this place. Second, they take only cash in here. They have a wired policy that they take 15% extra fee if I pay with USD which the cashier didn’t even mention when I told them that I’m willing to pay with USD.nWhen I asked them why I get the small money back, one worker said this is not a bank. What a NICE service they have!!!
This is the first time I’ve ever encountered service that was flat out hostile. The staff here taints the reputation of Montreal.nnThe bagels themselves are overrated. The ones we were served were stale. This isn’t a place where you sit down and eat. You buy your bagels and eat elsewhere. They don’t come with anything on them, it is purely just a bagel shop. They do sell full tubs of cream cheese. They are also cash only.nnIf you are in town and just visiting, skip this place. You will have a much better experience of Montreal that way.
They only accept cash. With that out of the way, they do serve fresh bagels in different flavors and they all tasted great. Service was fast and efficient and they do have some souvenirs for sale too.
Best bagel in town, better, in my opinion, than the counterpart on Fairmount nnFast and efficient, I'd recommend the classic sesame as they're fresher and authentic. All others are fresh but not out of the oven minutes ago.nnWe'll priced. Don't need to splurge on cream cheese and other goods there, much more expensive than at any grocery store around the corner
i’m still thinking about it. warm. chewy. soft. a hint of sweetness. i think the everything bagel was the best bagel i have ever had. make sure you get a fresh one. and have cash.
