As an incoming student currently attending the jump start program this summer, I can say that the staff are very kind and show lots of hospitality. The environment in the school is so friendly and warming that it feels like home. I can't wait to be a knight!
As the first STM player to be voted the AAA Defensive MVP and a multiple record holder in the CJFL for the past 20 years, I suggest STM shut down the football program and replace it with hockey... like Neil McNeil back east.nnHere's something they never told me:nYou don't want to play football in Canada, the NFL is too exclusively American. Chat GPT tells me it has the least amount of Canadians of any major pro sport.nnAt the junior level in Canada, all the money and organization is in hockey... speaking of which, are those the same two sets of bleachers I see on Google Maps that you had 26 years ago?nnWe football players were being directed to the CIS.nWhy don't you tell us what the odds are of making it to the NFL through CIS?nnCIS players go to the CFL and I'm not as impressed with semi-pro ball as they seem to be at STM.nnRicky Ray made more money delivering hostess chips than he did from football when he won the Grey Cup for Edmonton in Vancouver... and his story is that nobody even recognised him when he took the Skytrain that night.nThe amount of money they get paid in the CFL is borderline exploitative.nnBe Smart... Play Hockey!nnAside from that, the Brothers were always good to me.
It's a fantastic school. Our son loves it way more than his elementary school even though high school is supposed to be tougher. For a smaller school compared to the government run high schools, STMC has quite a variety of program options and now also investing a lot in science and technology. The teachers are great to talk to and provide extra support to students and parents. The school even created and is supporting a course for a single student - our son, because it's in the area in which he excels. Having attended a number of school functions, I can tell that the school administration really cares. We have never run into any behavioral problems like bullying that you often hear about from other places. The school is not cheap indeed, but you get what you pay for. For example, every student receives a laptop and all the books from the school. I don't understand the couple of low ratings based maybe on some ancient history, unspecified reasons, or a single factor like price. As a parent, I would highly recommend this school to anyone.
One of the best high schools in this entire province! I love it! I’m currently in Grade 9 there and the teachers are super nice and show you respect too. I would have to say that last year, while I was in grade 8, I did get cyber bullied by one of my classmates and I don’t know why. Otherwise, thumbs up from me. To my fellow classmates reading this, rock on!
