From a former students perspective:nnI was a student here all throughout highschool, and have fairly recently graduated. Here are my thoughts:nnI only had one full year of normal highschool, the rest was in some way, shape or form, affected by the covid-19 pandemic.nnMajority of my teachers were great! There were a couple I didn't always enjoy, but that's to be expected.nnThere were two annual events MCC and Clash both were a riot and tons of fun! The other events weren't all that great, and in turn weren't that popular.nnIn short, It's an average highschool. Your experience during this time of your life is heavily dependent on what you choose to get invoved with, and who you hang around.nnFrom the perspective of someone who works nearby:nnDuring lunch, the school releases the kids like rabid hounds. A handful of students are great, the rest are hooligans. They jaywalk on busy streets, steal from nearby stores, and can overall be pretty disrespectful.nnSo yeah... normal average highschool stuff
One of the teachers straight up called me selfish for not doing one piece of work that she wanted me to do but I tried to explain to her that I was focusing on my drama exams but she wouldn’t listen nor care and she would call it an excuse
As a former student of St. Peter’s. I just wanted to say the auto shop and metal shop had the two best teachers Mr.simms’Mr steffanoin the country. They actually taught me real world skills that I use everyday. I also want to thank Mrs.cinnamon and Mrs.kurtz for all their help. Although I can’t speak highly of the rest of the school. The people that I mentioned really helped me through high school. I don’t think I would have finished without them. I now am a marine mechanic apprentice and that wouldn’t of happened if they weren’t there.oh and Mrs Barrett only set me back and got me in trouble. I wonder if she still thinks I’m dumb?
Teachers focus too much on the uniform pants
best school i have ever attended! staff are amazing and the best people i’ve ever met. my support system built and helped me with my future when i didn’t believe i would be alive & be where i am today. this school saved my life and i miss being a student so much at st. peter’s! i’d do anything to return to that school in a heart beat. i thank every staff member who supported believed in me when i couldn’t fight for myself. i was always in and out of the hospital and had some teachers come out of there way to visit me in a hospital bed to show they cared and wanted to support me once i got to return to school. from having no supports from elementary school to gaining the most supportive experience at this school. I started my treatment for bipolar, depression and anxiety when i was in grade 9 2014/2015. if it wasn’t for everyone at this school I have no clue where I would be today! big thank you to everyone!
