Overall, our experience at St. Paul’s Hospital was positive, but there were some challenges. We had an MRI appointment scheduled, but after waiting for six months, we were given a 2 AM time slot, which was far from ideal. While we understand the high demand for medical imaging, a more reasonable scheduling system would make a big difference for patients. That being said, the staff was professional, kind, and efficient, and the facility was clean and well-maintained. Despite the long wait, we appreciate the quality of care provided.
Positive experience recovery from surgery on the 10th floor. Nurse Linda decorated the floor with Christmas trees and snowflakes lifting spirits. Exceptional team of clinicians working collaboratively. Experience in the ER later in “fast track” was rough, but I can only imagine how challenging working in that environment is. Found a little chapel on the 3rd floor to pray in. Beautiful hospital. Overall care great. Thank you.
I had the most pleasant experience when I went to the ER after my ski accident when I had concussion symptoms. The day before I went to St. Paul’s I went to another hospital and they made me wait till 3 am and didn’t end up seeing me so I went home . The next morning after my MRI scan at St Paul’s I went to the ER to get my head checked for the concussion. The lady triaging, after hearing that I had concussion symptoms after my accident , let me through to see a doctor right away . And the doctor was super caring and ordered a CT scan to make sure there aren’t any permanent damages to my brain . It was so amazing to see people who actually cared . I was super let down the night before , since I was chasing down for a doctor to see me at the other hospital that didn’t care , so going to St. Paul’s and seeing how they care really made me feel like there is still good in the world and it was such a relief to have my brain checked . Thank you so much to the ER team for making it such a pleasant experience and not making an injured person sit in the ER room for hours on end . Truly thank you .
I’m writing to share my extreme disappointment with the care I received at St. Paul’s over the past few days. I was in and out due to complications from a kidney stone procedure done at St. Paul on Saturday, and instead of improving, my pain worsened significantly. Despite this although I’ve informed my nurses several times that something was wrong but this was ignored the treatment I received was mostly just high doses of morphine and ketamine, without addressing the underlying issues like my infection or internal bleeding which are creating excruciating pain.nI feel dismissed when asking for basic things like blankets or water and the staff seemed more focused on socializing than patient care. While I understand hospitals are busy, I felt overlooked and neglected, especially compared to other patients most of which here for an overdose.nLooks like this health system in Canada is a total failure especially knowing that tax payers are the ones being overlooked compared to addicts ‍. Worst experience ever! I lived in Togo for 15years and trust me the care i was given there outranks by far the one at St. Paul’s
I had an exceptional experience in the maternity unit of the hospital. The nurses were incredibly professional, with Akira and Becky standing out for their kindness, patience, and expertise. Their warm and supportive approach made me feel comfortable and well-cared for during my time there. I truly appreciate the outstanding care I received and would highly recommend this hospital’s maternity services to others.
