If you have any hope for a college experience this is not the place. All the teachers treat you like you’re still in highschool and not an adult paying for the class. “I’ll wait till you’re done talking” yelled across the room while my friend is whispering a relevant question to me is ridiculous. The profs are on such a power trip. Also for nursing you don’t get to do both a LD and PEDs rotation unlike majority of other schools. Ottawa U second year students are on spinal trauma wards while SLC has students in a rural one wing med surge placement. If this is the only nursing school you got into, take a gap year and get your grades up it’s not worth it
This is a terrible College to teach adults. I know 2 Adults that dislikes the teachers they have. One in Nursing and one in Mental Health. Sadly the Mental Health left and the First has anxiety when attending her third year. Algononquin by far would be the BEST choice in taking any course rather then SLC. I have heard so many complaints about the teachers, so many say they need to get their act together if teaching any courses at SLC. Very sad.
