This was our first time at St James Gate! And it is my new favourite stop. The atmosphere, foot, service were incredible! We had the Lisbon Dip with chicken and was amazing.Food: 5/5
We went to have dinner at a comfortable location in Carleton Place. What a disappointment. Soon after ordering, a raucous band started screaming into a microphone and totally destroyed the atmosphere and evening. Why any group would need electric guitars and amplifiers in a 600 square foot area is totally beyond comprehension. Our dining experience was destroyed. We would never return. Be warned. Friday evening at St James is abysmal.
