Had dinner at St Germain’s last night celebrating our anniversary. The best part of the whole experience was the staff and service - so friendly, polite and attentive. Also a very nice wine list to choose from by the glass options and bottles. Food was also very good. I had the lamb the couscous it came with was great! and my spouse had the stroganoff which he thoroughly enjoyed. Ceasar salad and oysters for appetizers were also very tasty, though the oysters could have been a bit better quality and cleaned/prepared a bit better. Finished off with dessert and a cappuccino which were divine. All in all - we had a lovely evening. The restaurant decor is showing a bit of wear the tables in particular but hardly anything to complain about. Will be back again in the future! Dietary restrictions: Staff were very helpful - I have a caper allergy and they checked all of our choices prior to finalizing the order and also any potential cross contamination. Parking: Ample parking. There wasn’t a show going on at the casino the night we visited so on those nights you might need to walk from a bit further out in the lot. Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessibly for those with mobility issues or in a wheelchair.
The service was exceptional. Regen, you were a delight and made my birthday celebration all the sweeter. Their bartender is legit and our drinks were amazing. The Caesar’s are a must try! I had the shrimp and he has the satay skewer - both were mini meals upon themselves. The Caesar salad was good and the steaks quite decent. I was gifted the most amazing birthday cookie in a wee box, which we enjoyed later. Their berry dessert, while beautifully prepared, was meh. Perhaps it tastes better when berries are more in season.
We had a reservation before the show. The host politely let us know if we wanted dinner service we would miss an hour of the show. We appreciated the honesty. We just ordered a few starters to share and our server was beyond incredible He got everything out super fast and the food we did order was great. Wish we could've had dinner, but we still left full and happy. If you need to make a show make your reservation for a minimum of 2 hours before to be safe.
Nice place and service was good. Friend and I ordered Lake Erie pickerel and shrimp, a glass of chardonnay, for dessert ordered wild blue berry and apple cobbler. The food was fantastic.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! The steak was amazing and so were the scallops carbonara. Tried my friend’s French Onion soup - also so good! Get reservations in advance as can be tough to get in.Recommended dishesFrench Onion Soup
Great food , Unfortunately service was not to par this time .. as the server did not seem with it. Didn't offer more drinks or steak knifes, didn't seem to care about my husband's allergy.. also never asked us if we were celebrating anything special etc... Dietary restrictions: Husband is lactose free, we explained it to the server, she brought him a steak out with butter on the top of it, she told him to scoop it off We explained it to her again its not a preference it's an allergy .. she brought it back to the kitchen said the chefs fried off the butter .. his food cannot be cooked in butter .. very strange experience we usually have great service from this restaurant not so much this time
We had made a reservation since May because we were coming to the Michael Bolton's concert June and were advised the place gets busy. Service was good but not 5 stars. Bread took forever and our server was rushing through drink ordering. After I ordered some drink I realized there were more options and I was not told. The lobster bisque was ok but not much lobster taste at all and tiny pieces on top. I could taste the cream and the wine but no lobster. The crab cake was really really good! I found it pricey but guess you are paying for the location too. The tenderloin was really good and the sauce divine. It was cooked to perfection. My order was not the best choice, seafood cioppino which is basically a seafood stew. It tasted like the sauce was made with veggies and tomato sauce and then the seafood probably boiled and set on top of the sauce. I counted 3 shrimps, 2 scallops, 3 tiny pieces of white fish meat and did not count clams as they were plenty but I was not impressed by the flavour at all. I spent most of the time chewing on hard pieces of hard uncooked carrots. Desert was an espresso creme brulee which was really good. My drink was a Tom Collins which couls have had more alcohol in it and the lemon juice tasted fake. I do not think they use real lemons. For a meal of $200 plus taxes, I had higher expectations.
We booked a dinner at St. Germain’s Steakhouse last weekend and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious. My Fillet of Beef “Au Poivre” was perfectly cooked medium. I’ve been to more expensive Steakhouses that overcooked the meat. This was perfect. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was also delightful and the sautéed local mushrooms not pictured were tasty. Our server was also really efficient and friendly. It was a great experience and I would go back again.
This was one of the most disappointing dinner experiences of my entire dining life. Steaks overcooked and under if not at all seasoned. No ambiance at all, felt like a cafeteria. Service was terrible and I mean terrible. However, the other servers around us seemed knowledgeable, welcoming and accommodating. Our server was cold, didn’t listen to a word we said, no wine/cocktail knowledge whatsoever. Did not course the way we specified. We asked what grape variety a wine was and he said white. I know where I was and what to expect. We weren’t expecting a 5 star service and dining experience. But this was substantially below par for anything with the price tag it has. Cocktails aren’t balanced and just over the top sweet sugary stupidity. Wine list says award winning but it’s mostly lcbo average labels with nothing to offer to win any kind of award. Caesar salad tasted like it came out of a grocery store bag kit. Steaks were trash. Absolutely 100% would not recommend to my worst enemy.
Great Valentine’s Day dinner. We ordered the Valentine’s 3 course meal. Shrimp tempura, steak and lobster and a homemade ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious!Recommended dishes6oz Lobster Tail
