St-Charles Steak House et Tartares

Food was very delicious! I took the “CÔTE DE BOEUFnAU JUS - spécialité de la maison, the gentleman 12 oz. Medium rare, on the side with baked loaded potato, vegetables & their sauce. Staff were super friendly & service was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place if you are craving for some juicy piece of steak. I would 100% visit this steakhouse again.

Our waitress Josee was very attentive and tried very hard to speak English. We managed with a lot of smiles and laughs. Good was excellent. We both got the prime rib table d’hôte. It was a great meal to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. Will definitely back.

Purchased 300$ worth of gift cards from costco based on their Google attractive reviews and pictures shams. When we arrived it was completely the opposite, place is outdated, everything is old. Air felt like is was not ventilated, anyways we had no choice but to go in. We sat on their terrace and the terrase, chairs are pool chairs not to the price menu standard. We decided to order chateaubriand 160$ for two, they asked asked us if we would like to go in for the show of the filled mignon and we accepted. What a mistake it was, they did the show in the hall just infront of the toilet omgosh... I complained instantly and we went back to seat. Plates arrived with the filled mignon cooked to medium rare instead of medium... and the fillet was not as tender as supposed to be. backed potatoes bad either to old or hard, we also ordered chicken wings as an enty was very bad as well, also got salmon tartar, nothign good, we also got mix salde which was actually the best thing they had with the bottle if wine we got. service was slightly better than average probably only because I complained about toilet show and bad chicken wings as I still had to still serve bottle wine my self. they offer us a discount of the wine and complementary cakes and didn't charge us for the bad chicken wings, which was the least they could do. I DO NOT recommend wasting your evening on such bad place in general. I WOULD EVEN RATE IT 1* BUT SINCE THEY OFFERED A DISCOUNT TO COMPENSATE THE BATHROOM SITUATION ** IS THE BEST I CAN DO. AWFLUL EXPERIENCE NOT WORTH MY TIME NOR THE MONEY!!!!

Overpriced restaurant with lower average food. Their most expensive chateaubriand piece of meat was supposed to be done flambé in front of guests, but since we were sitting on a terrace, they couldnt do it there which they didnt inform us of prior to making an order, and instead invited us inside to watch the process. When we arrived to the scene, it took place in a tiny hallway RIGHT NEXT TO THE BATHROOM, also while other guests tried to ask for space to pass TO THE BATHROOM DOOR, This was unacceptable considering an expensive meal of 160$.nAlso the baked potato was plain and not fully cooked, and the presentation was not good either as it looked like all kinds of food was put on top of each other in a plate, like a plate of wasnt big enough to fit. In my opinion, this type of meal a 2 personnes a partager, at 160$ should maybe be served on a board, like in a real steakhouse, and not look like a mountain of veggies, meat, mushrooms and shrimps barely fitting on a plate. The only thing we did enjoy was a good bottle of wine, a mixed appetizer salad and desert cake.

We live close by but never came here until we got guests. Just like a downtown steak house. Plenty of expensive meat. Table d’hôte is always available. Prime rib was awesome. Huge slab of meat perfectly cooked with jus. The bavette was very tasty. Excellent service. They have a terrace and frozen takeout dishes. Great find.
