I have to say the service was quick. I got in and gave my blood and came out of the hospital very quickly. A very clean environment. Nurse was friendly enough. The stuff I wasn't to over the moon about: - I got stuck in the private car park for 20 minutes due to a delivery taking place at 09:00am by two massive trucks. The hospital should have been able to let us know that this was going to happen and for us to avoid parking in the private area. - My consultations with staff were not very thorough. It was quick - this is what you need to take. Now on your way. No real deep explanation as to what was going on. - I wasn't given much awareness about how much blood would be taken at the consultation. Luckily stuff like needles I have grown immune to. But would have been nice to know 8 bottles of blood were going to be taken before the time of them actually being taken. I didn't feel I got value for money here tbh.
It is 8.45am on a weekday and the outpatient booking line is still closed despite the automated message saying lines are open from 8am. Incredibly frustrating that even a private hospital can't get it right!! You'd have thought with the prices they charge they'd at least be able to hire a receptionist or two
Had a excellent experience at St Anthony Spire hospital . had a cyst removed start of December 2022 - procedure got complicated but the theatre staff ,Consultant surgeon Mr Lewis and the follow up wound care with nurses Jane and Chris was very good. Mr Lewis reassured about the wound healing and nurse Jane was a breath of fresh air during the difficult time with lots of positivity and excellent clinical skills and clear explanation of how to care for the wound at home . Would highly recommend the team !!!!
Use this hospital regularly and can’t fault. Recent experience was phenomenal. My son had an ankle op and nurses cora and daisy where absolutely fantastic, really kind and went out of their way to make our experience comfortable. Thanks girls
There are so many disappointing experiences to share, unfortunately. I have a Gynaecology appointment with consultant, but she showed very little patience. The consultation was not very thorough. It was quick without even the basic check like pressing your pelvic area to identify the pain points, which my GP had duly done. No real deep explanation as to what was going on. Just push you to the various scans and tests and make another appointment with her costs £250.00 an appointment with a less than 10 minutes consultation. Then hospital booked me a colposcopy appointment as per the first consultant's referral. It was another poor experience. The doctor who carried out the procedure was said to be a NHS specialist, but he didn't explain what would be likely to happen to me during and after this procedure. I suffered from the severe pain in the procedure. The nurse seemed not well trained, when the doctor asked for cotton buds to take biopsy, she had to look for it instead of having them ready, which left me in the pain for longer time. I told them that I was in much pain but they just said to take paracetamol when I got home. I kept bleeding after the procedure while they didn't tell me anything about it. I was so worried that I had to google colposcopy and found in NHS website it has all the details about this procedure such as clinic staff should talk to you and explain what happen before the procedure, then to get you sign a consent didn't happen in my appointment, also it should not be much pain but it was very painful in my case. No one told me about the bleeding could last for days, neither the doctor nor the nurse while it should have been explained before it was carried out. The imaging department sent wrong booking date in their email, when I came to their reception to check, they said they would resend the correct email, but I never receive the correct email. My husband had an small operation in his back last year in this hospital. He was left with a terrible scar because they just taped his wound instead of stitching it up. The wound got torn so many times and eventually formed a unsightly scar. I don't feel that we were getting value for the money we spent. Apart from the waiting time is less than NHS, I don't feelbeing cared about. I hope my comments here help people to make the decision when you choose your private medical care provider and also hope the hospital will improve their service.
Nice clean hospital , very friendly nurses. Highly recommend ginaecologist Dr Chi Ding .
I have been in as an outpatient or in 4 times in the past 2 months. I have been deeply impressed by how well I have been looked after by a variety of people in different roles. Angiogram, MRI, echocardiogram ... all of the people I encountered were friendly and professional and helped my involvement be as pleasant as possible. That applies from the front desk to everyone else I dealt with. Top marks and thank you
Excellent service from all staff. Very professional well trained staff from the receptionist the porters ICU staff and all the nursing staff and doctors especially Ibrahim really professional service all round.
doctor i saw and nurse rushed my experience. when i arrived the assistant radiographer Tammy who was fantastic told me i was meant to have information regarding my procedure to come. the hospital nor doctor had told me about the procedure and so i was shocked when i eventually found out more. very clean hospital but the human experience was not good
A very good hospital with top service, even during a pandemic. The staff is very professional and friendly, everyone pays a lot of attention to you. Room s are clean and tidy, with TV and internet and your own bathroom and shower. Hot drinks offered. Hospital food was better than at some restaurants tomato soup + sandwich for lunch, you can pick from the menu.
