I first reviewed this nice 35 + year old family run American style Chinese food court place- about 3 years ago. They got great marks for the quality, taste and value. I picked up takeout as usual today and the bag felt a little light... Initially this place heaped on the portions, so much so that I’d actually weigh it when I get home. Well the 1000-1250 gram days may be gone. IDK, maybe just a turnover in cooking refills from the back ??? Today the portion was so tiny it nearly took flight in a medium windy day as I brought it in to weigh it at an anemic 655g!!! I haven’t sampled yet and hope that this shift in value is a one off I will try once again and if same stinginess repeats then I guess it’s over for me here
The food was good and the food was tasty. I found the price a little expensive though the portion was a good size. I got the three item plate and two of the three items were warm and wish they would have been hot. Late in the day so I thought this maybe was why. Most places give you a fortune cookie with your meal and after paying almost ten dollars, the twenty five cents they charge for one not what I expected. Try it out maybe earlier in the day!
100 years from now St.Albert Mall could be long gone and St.Albert Kitchen would still remain! They are the exception when it comes to mall Chinese food! Just fantastic. 10 years ago or today, the Dry Boneless Pork is the exact same! Always fresh, always tasty and tons of value in the 3 or 4 item meals! They also have pretty damn good Green Onion Cakes.
Use to be a great place to eat. Over sauced, under flavoured foods. False advertising for deep fried wontons as they are only “chips”. So much curry in egg rolls can not enjoy any other flavours. Disappointing, staff is rude stating they can call things what they want to get it to sell.
Surprisingly better than most full service Chinese food restaurants. The meat entrees are tender and tasty. Not just coated shoe laces that you could chew endlessly and never breakdown. Wednesday’s are special item days and I’ve never been disappointed. The secret must be out because the lineups at dinner time are getting longer. Freshly made and great value for what you spend.
Easily the best chinese food in St. Albert. They just stuff your plate with food, and for the price point, it's definitely generous. Love this place!
Customer service is amazing, we’ve been going there since I was baby and since my parents have been around. The family that owns has been around for a long time and is super nice and friendly. The food is outstanding and exceptional, and flavour filled! Overall best Chinese food I’ve ever had and ever will!
Whenever me or my parents go traveling. We always loved stopping at St Albert's Kitchen. The food taste so fresh and is not greasy. It's really light but has enough flavor. Been going there for the past 9 years..food never disappointed.
I love this place 100/10 recommend. They're family owned business that's super friendly every time i go. This is always my to go place for chinese food! The portion are big for what you pay for.
I ordered 4 items ginger beef, sweet and sour, good taste. Rice and vegetable were tasteless no flavor I think the cook was a sleep. Most of the time it's good food not today.
