I'm not a member here but I have played squash here a number of times. This place has a lovely old school feel to it. The really only have squash and and some exercise equipment. So if you don't love squash this is not your place. It is the oldest squash club in Toronto. They have a nice lounge and bar with a chef that prepares meals like roast rabbit for a fraction of the cost that restaurants would charge.
Have been a member for around a month now and have been impressed with the warm welcome of fellow members. Nobody hesitated for an instant to offer the new guy a hit and a post match get-to-know-you brew. The kitchen has also been spectacular.
My friend got caught in the rain with her infant child and a dog and tried to take shelter in the alcove of the main entrance of the club for a few minutes until the rain past and she could make it back to our condo complex around the corner. She got nothing but drama from the staff who even came out and warned her that they were recording her. Too bad this place takes up space in our neighbourhood.
These uptight misogynistic uppity ups turned away my female friend from taking shelter under their awning with her child in the midst of a rainstorm. Disgusting that this place exists in our otherwise diverse and inclusive neighbourhood.
This facility does not allow women. I was excited to see that there was a racquet club perfectly located for me when I was seeking facilities, but nauseated to find this institution would not allow me into their "gentlemen only" club.
Great club! Hope I can join one day.
