Squamish General Hospital

This is a really great local hospital. And they are clearly used to treating people with outdoor sports injuries. My wife dislocated her shoulder while skiing. At first we were going to take her to the Whistler emergency room but the ski patrol suggested we go to Squamish instead since Whistler was very backed up. When we arrived at the Squamish hospital emergency room, the front desk was initally going to make us fill out a lot of paperwork. But as soon as they saw my wife hunched over in pain, they immediately sent her into the doctor instead, even though we are from the US and don't have Canadian insurance. The doctor took one look at her shoulder and rather than make her sit another half hour in excruciating pain and take x-rays, he simply and very expertly reset it. Everyone was incredibly kind, and we really appreciated their efficiency, skill and obvious experience in treating sports related injuries. Thank YOU!
