Staying at this place was an experience in itself. The rooms look like they haven't been touched since the 70s, but they were comfortable, and super accessible to a lot of cool climbing and hiking routes. The front desk guy, Chris, is freakin hilarious. The Budget Inn would be a super lovely place to stay if he had a team to help maintain the hotel, but he frantically takes care of as much as he can on his own and really wants to make sure you are comfortable during his your stay. After an epic backpacking trip up Mt. Olympus, we would take anything with a warm shower, so this spot worked out perfectly for us. However if you're not feeling like having more adventure time at your hotel and prefer a more "conventional" hotel experience, I would stay elsewhere.

While 99% of the reviews have been horrid, our stay has proven reasonable. 2nd floor not so bad for traffic and like some guests, we were stuck with this place as our last resort - big event on in town & absolutely everything is booked solid...we appreciate the air con, the new carpet still in good shape, the microwave & fridge. Our interactions have been pleasant with the owner and he is quirky yet trying very hard to accommodate people. Tough business! The bathroom is wretchedly tiny, I am glad I travel with shower shoes and my own camping kit. There are dishes in the cupboard all in need of a good wash. The twin beds have been comfortable. It's an adventure - just what travelling is about.

Had a good laugh at this motel, tried to check in at around 1pm and no one was there till 230pm so we head off to whistler. tried ringing the motel twice while we were in whistler to say we were coming back a bit later to check in and no one answered. got to the motel at 9pm and the guy at the lobby tells us there's no more rooms. Had a good verbal stoush and eventually got a room at the expensive of some other weary traveller. Room wasn't too bad though

They gave us a room smelling like heroine and weed and wouldn’t give us a full refund after we asked for one minutes after getting the room this place is trash
