Super easy rentals at an affordable price, we even rented a private room but a low price. It’s not very fancy but if you are looking for a proper mountain lodge to clean up after an alpine outing this place manages to offer the bare minimum.nnService was friendly and rooms were warm, can’t really complain other than that alcohol was not sold on the premises.nnI really appreciated the quiet time and surprised that everyone followed it. Pretty nice to sleep at a decent hour undisturbed!
The hostel is in a great location, very close to downtown. Just behind it, there’s a lovely cycling path that leads to Brackendale, and hiking trails are only a few minutes' walk away.nnIn spring and summer, the ice cream shop in the parking lot is a must – trust me, I’m Italian!nnDefinitely one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at – clean, with a super friendly staff. The guests are mostly young and outdoorsy, so if you’re looking for climbing or hiking buddies, just strike up a conversation in the common areas!
My mum and I stayed in the private hotel-style suite and have to say, our experience was 10/10!
We made the Squamish Adventure Inn & Hostel our base as we spent a few days skiing in Whistler. It's centrally located - close to Whistler as well as amenities in Squamish. There was ample parking too. Our room was cosy and the kitchen was fully equipped with pots and pans. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean and we also liked being able to leave our skis and snowboard in their lockers outside bring a padlock.nnWhat could have been better - there is very little soundproofing between rooms. We could hear everything from our neighbours upstairs, below and beside us. Additionally, our room was right next to the stairs so we could hear people running up and down them all day and night which affected our sleep even with earplugs. Unless you're a heavy sleeper, I'd suggest a room away from the stairs.
I booked the 3 bedroom private room as I could not book the dorm room with my son. The room met my expectations was clean and spacious and served our needs well, probably better than being in a dorm. The Squamish Adventure Inn is well placed for the town and adventures and great value. I would highly recommend and would stay again on my next visit.
