Coming here for snowboard and binding.nUnfortunately the price is not very attractive.nBut there are many kinds of outdoor products. Still worth a visit!
Quite simply the best ever used sports store in history, family owned always, Carlos and Suson were was so helpful. Your money stays in our community, not an American company and now more than ever so important. Also the best Customer service ever. so knowledgeable and so helpful every time i have been there for the last 20 years. My son and I are so appreciative when we needed new mountain bike gear, they were always there with the best free advice. We are customers for life.
Lots of bargains for pre-loved ski gear, but you have to really look to find something you like. Might not be able to find help as they all are busy helping customers. Will come back when my baby girl needs a bike!
Bought a bike off Market Place, and discovered AFTER driving from Langley to Vancouver to bike the sea wall that the brakes did not stop the bike at all. One place quoted me $150, I did not have the cash flow so headed to Sports Junkies to buy pads, while asking questions they mentioned they could just tighten them, but I said they clearly aren't gripping. They offered new pads, and a rush job for $40 even though they had a lot on the go. Thanks to Liam, I got to bike the sea wall that day. Highly recommend!
Super positive vibes in the shop, really nice employees. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience buying a bike here. I tested the bike out and it seemed fine, checked all the gears. Was told I’d have to wait til the next day so they can tune it up. I picked it up after the tune-up and it felt way worse off than on my test ride. Several of the gears didn’t even work, which was more than the usual level of new-bike break in that should be expected. I took it back and their novice bike tech worked on it without supervision from any of the experienced staff. Super nice guy but I do think an experienced staff member should be checking the work of the novices. Unfortunately, the issue persisted. Had to go back a second time and the gears feel mostly ok but still not what I experienced when I went on the test ride, they’re kind of clunky feeling.nnThe worst part is that my handle bar was installed incorrectly, which resulted in its failure mid-ride. I fell forward off my bike because all of a sudden the handle bars didn’t support my weight anymore, and I got really injured :nnI did call to provide this feedback to a staff member. Their response was lukewarm at best and slightly irritated at worst. They did say they’d start properly securing handlebars in the future, but it concerns me that this wasn’t already part of their procedure.nnI am sad to be leaving this review because, as I said, I really liked the vibes in the shop, and I was excited to get a brand new bike. I just didn’t have a good experience personally and am leaving this review for the consideration of other potential customers.
